The purpose of all Spiritist Law is that the punishment should fit the crime.

When someone steals all that they have should be taken from them and used to reimburse those they stole from. After this is accomplished certain portions of their property may be returned to their relatives, as long as they, too, have not been a part of the violation of the law. Further details of this shall be laid out in the statutes, themselves.

If a person unjustly takes a life they must forfeit their life in return. And also there are certain crimes that are so heinous, so defiling to an individual that the person committing them must forfeit their life in return.

The Lords are always just. Sometimes Their punishments are harsh but necessary. And Their punishments shall be carried out according to Their wishes.
