Here's one of those cute little miracles that happens around here. Michael Jackson wanted to send a message to his wife and, to his daughter as well. He was trying to write something himself. Then he came across a song that I had written years ago called "The Morning Dove," and asked me to record a version of it. I didn't know where the lyrics were so we woke up Linda. Then Michael said "Oh, we shouldn't have done that! I know where they are!" He told me to go into the closet and look through the clip books where we have stored all our little artifacts, or relics. I picked up one book and he said "No no, not that one, the other one!" I opened that one and Michael said "Page 8." I counted the pages and there were the lyrics! I asked Michael "How did you know where this was?" and he answered "I saw it in your mind just as clear as anything. Went right to it!" I shook my head in amazement. Though my sinuses are still messed up from the cologne or oil or whatever it is one of the guys at work drowned himself in, I managed to record a version of the song which delighted Michael. We hadn't intended an email today but Michael asked us to send it right out because he is hoping it will be passed on, people will play it and eventually his wife will hear it. I asked him why he also wanted his daughter to get the message. "It's something I want her to understand," Michael answered. "I think she'll understand these words far better than anything else." Michael would like me to sing this song to his wife on "Jimmy Kimmel, Live!" but he would insist that I be sitting down when I sing it and have the lyrics on a clip board and use my glasses, causing me as little strain as possible. Unfortunately Disney would never allow it, but it would be nice. Michael would also like our friends at Kevin & Bean at KROQ in Los Angeles to get someone that does a good impersonation of him and dub him in singing behind me in the background and put some music with it, then put it out and have the proceeds go to the city of Los Angeles to help them pay for his memorial. He'd also like the same thing done with this song. And if somebody wants to buy the rights to do these songs in other languages he'd like that to go to the fund for us to take care of his children. He wishes he had heard back from someone in South Africa. He wants to make Johannesburg a power source for him like Los Angeles is a power source for John Lennon. He is really ambitious! Michael is very impressed with what Kevin & Bean did with "Listen To The Angels" that began the flow of power in Los Angeles that has thusfar kept the human race alive. He wishes so much they could do the same thing for him. This would be a great birthday present for Linda.
