HERO
OF THE DAY
By; Speaker Gerald Polley
It is said that each generation has its
number of heroes who, in fighting for their own rights, insure the
rights of others. Such a hero is Madalyn Murray O'Hair, who
has been a contributing force in the fight against religious domination
in America. In her long campaign to support the rights of
atheists, she has supported the rights of every American to think and
speak as they please. There are few who would have endured the years of
harassment and persecution that such acts bring on from the organized
religious community.
We have not the space to tell all that her group
has accomplished , and what is yet to be done. But for those who are
interested, they may be reached at: The Freedom From Religion
Foundation, P.O. Box 750, Madison, WI 53701. A subscription to their
newsletter, Freethought Today, is well worth the $20.00 which is asked
for one year.

RECEIVING THE COSMIC
CHRIST-THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY, By ; Shahan Jon, Karuna Foundation, P .O.
Box 11422, Berkley , CA 94701-2422. Oversized paperback. $15.00 plus
$1.50 shipping and handling.
This is a wonderful book that teaches the fundamentals of a
yoga like meditation and blends it with a healing technique which will
improve the environmental conditions of the entire planet. I found it
somewhat repetitious in the beginning but learned this was necessary
for readers who haven't experienced meditation classes before.
Designed with seperate instructions for
ind ividual and group use, this book is a must for those who care about
the future of our world. It may cost a bit more than other softcover
publications, but is certainly worth it, and has print a bit easier on
the eyes. Learn to relax, and reach out to the global community. You'll
love it! Now there's no need to have to sit back and feel
helpless about what others are doing to our Earth.
METAPHYSICS- - -WHAT IS IT
By; Jackie Ramirez
Do
we all have the same
definition of the word? I don't think so. I get letters in which this
is well indicated so I would like to see if there are others out there
who agree with the definition we use here at the Lebanon (Oregon) Study
Group.
Metaphysics is a philosophical doctrine
that all things are a part of the whole or the one main source which is
intelligence and energy, and each thing be it animate or inanimate,
should be respected for its particular form of this one main source.
We see that each thing has an independent function and is dependent
upon every other thing and all are contributing to the main source.
What that says to me indeed is that when just one person is doing badly
then a small part of each one of us feels the effect on some level. So
its for the good of all that each of us try to do the very best we can
do as we really are responsible for everyone else!
Metaphysics is advanced knowledge not taught us
in formal education and it is a study not to be intelectualized only.
It's a study in physics which one should not attempt to solve all
questions materially but accept that which happens even though
scientific explanations cannot account for it.
A metaphysician therefore is one who is working
with the science of being and growing.
THE GIFT OF GRACE
By; Dawn Joy Lindsay
Spiritual Counselor & Tarot Reader
I have often
wondered how one would define grace. It was during a time of transition
in my life that I came to understand it more clearly. I feel in
everyone's life there is a time when the universe steps in and steers
your course and it is often during those times that things seem so
confused and your mind and thinking is scattered. It is during those
times that you have to have grace to accept what is being offered and
understand that we may not always comprehend what is happening in our
life, but sometimes we have to push through and trust in the higher
force that guides us to the other side of that transition. It is often
during the most confused times, if we just trust and hang on, we are
so close to the breakthrough, if only we would realize these feelings
are part of transition, it is normal to feel this way, and soon a new
day will dawn and we will have made it through with the "Gift of
Grace."
