Each of those men had served their particular country, proud and well. They had every right to die in dignity at home. I offered them an incentive. If they died on this mission their children would get a hundred thousand dollar trust fund FOREVER, to be passed from generation to generation, to the eldest child's heir. Considering what they did I don't think it was unreasonable. We do things a little bit different, Captain."
"I'll say!" The Captain answered. "How much are you worth, anyway?" she asked.
The President shrugged. "I'm not exactly sure," he answered, "I think somebody said one time if you counted everything I was worth about seventy or eighty million. I can easily afford this little bit."
The Captain stared. "Seventy or eighty MILLION?" she finally managed.
"Well, I'd better get ready for the press," The President continued.
"Er, Mr. Presidcent," The Captain whispered.
"Yes?" The President asked.
"If you ever need a power source again, sir.."
The President smiled. "Of course!" he answered. "If I ever do."
The President got busy. Yes, there was little doubt the press would be waiting in ambush, but the first night had gone well, it had gone VERY well!
