Spell Of Need
This spell should only be used for absolute necessities. The Lords would not be very pleased if one of Their servants made a petition for a color television set or a thousand dollar stereo when they needed new shoes for the children or money for food. So think carefully before you ask for something.
Place a white candle in your candle holder and set the candle holder on the floor in the middle of the room. Place your staff before it, and your pen and paper. Take up your staff and repeat the Spell of Protection. When this is done, face the north, and hold your staff vertically and repeat this prayer;
"Oh blessed Fathers and Holy Mothers of the north, your servant is in need. Send forth Thy Power, Oh Lords, and grant us what we need, that we may do well before Thee."
Repeat this prayer with your back to the candle to all four points of the compass. Place your staff on the northern side of your candle holder and take up your pen and paper. Maintain a kneeling position and print this petition;
"A Petition To The Holy Lords of Spirit. To Their High Council and Low Councils and to Their Servants on All Levels, from their Servant, (place name here.) Oh Holy Lords, I, Your Servant, am in need of (describe what it is you need.) Grant, oh Lords, if at all possible that this be sent to me, and that I may use it justly and wisely for your good. If I am not permitted this request, Oh Lords, grant me the wisdom to see why I do not need it."
When your petition is completed, follow the instructions in the spell for Healing on making a cover, if you do not all ready have one.
Get up and raise your staff vertically before you, and repeat the prayer;
"Oh Blessed Lords, I send you forth with my request, knowing that if I truly need it you will answer my need, and if I do not, you will show me why I do not."
Return the staff to the northern side of the candle holder. Your spell is completed. Let the candle burn out, then place the petition on the family altar then place the candleholder on top of it.

The appropriate number of persons needed to cast a spell is between one and eleven, but never work with an unbalanced group unless absolutely necessary. There should always be a one male, to one female ratio, otherwise, your flow of power will be unbalanced and dangerous. If you have extra persons, let them surround themselves with protection outside the casting circle and serve as observers.
