The National Debt
Every Christian should insist of their government
leaders that any surplus from tax revenues should go first to the
paying of the
national debt. Once the national debt is paid THEN resources could be
allocated
to other projects. But as long as the nation is in debt it is an
unnecessary burden to the public, and disposing of that debt should be
the first priority of their national leaders. This is first and
foremost. The current generation should not be required to carry the
burdens of the previous generation.
This is not God's way. Each generation is held accountable for its own
actions, NOT the previous one. It is not God's purpose to make the
children of the sinners pay their parents' debts. It is man's ignorance
that causes this to
happen. It is not God's will.
