Tibet
A good Christian must recognize the Tibetan peoples'
struggle to win back the independence of their nation. They must deny
the assertion of the Chinese government that Tibet is part of its
country. Tibet was taken by overwhelming military force, and is being
held by military occupation. Its true leaders have either been murdered
or driven into exile. For The
United States government to recognize such military conquest, to gain
the
economic cooperation of another country, is totally unacceptable. The
United
States is creating the nation that will engulf the world in its next
major
war. We must stop the policy of submission now, and force that country
to
act like a civilized nation. We must join the cries of its people and
insist that Tibet be freed, and that the Chinese withdraw all their
troops and all their colonists, and allow its legetimate leaders to
return. Every Christian must insist on this.
