John Lennon's Second Letter To First Lady Laura Bush

An Open Letter From John Lennon
To First Lady Laura Bush

February 14, 2,008

Greetings First Lady!

I find myself unexpectedly writing to you again because the situation has arisen that I wish very much you would help me with. My former wife is persecuting a young woman because her mother gave her my name and she has become an accomplished singer. She is forbidding her to use the name Lennon on her records, which I believe she has every right to do! The young woman cannot afford legal representation to fight Yoko in court. I would appreciate it very much, as a fellow servant of God, and a defender of womens' rights, if you would be so kind as to obtain legal representation for this young woman and fight this injustice for me in the American courts. God would appreciate it very much, and so would I.

God has asked Speaker Gerald Polley to conduct his presidential campaign on a series of good deeds. Here is indeed, a good deed that needs to be done, and I would appreciate it very much if you help him do it.

Yours Most Sincerely,

John Lennon
