Chapter Two
Now when the systems were repaired The Lord
Change spoke to all the people. "Surely you have learned that I have
changed, and there are many rumors about the things that I have said.
You wonder in your hearts what is true and what is not true. So now I
will tell you.
2 The Children of The Spear bear a terrible shame, for because of our
ignorance we have nearly destroyed all that we love. Peepi is in ruins.
All the colonies of The Three are in ruin. All our great space vessels
are destroyed.
We who were so near reaching the stars have nearly been thrown back
into The Darkness of The Beginning.
3 What has happened this time we cannot ever permit to happen again. We
cannot survive unless we learn to accept each-other's differences and
learn to work in harmony, one with the other, only defending ourselves,
never attacking.
4 This is the first new Law I will teach you. Never will we use force
against any person again, unless they first use force against us, or
cross our sacred boundaries without our consent. Even then, we will use
only enough force to defend ourselves. We will take every precaution to
insure the safety of women and children of our enemies as if they were
the blood of our own flesh.
5 There is blood on my own hands, blood that can never be washed away,
shame that I must ever bear. The hour will come when this shame will
pass away, but it will not be at the end of THIS lifetime.
6 We have known a long time the Law of The Great Father....our Teacher
of Old put it in our minds. The Great Law was given us but we ignored
it, and now how bitterly we have paid the price for our ignorance. If
we had only listened and understood what The Teachers of Old meant when
They said 'Do to others as you would want them to do to you.' We have
not heeded that wisdom, and we pay the price.
