the Palace. Can it be arranged?"
47 "I'm sure your Father will approve," answered his mother. The Lord
God did. That night as North and his mother discussed with his father
what had happened in the park, the General was pleased. "If you want
this Morn to be your friend, North, I would in no way, condemn you. He
is the son of The Lord God, and that he likes you is a blessing. One
should never turn away friendship. It is rarely given among our people,
and is something to cherish."
48 North and his father were going out doors for a game of ball after
supper when the doorbell rang. "Now, who could THAT be?" the General
asked. He opened the door and found a young Guard Officer standing
there.
49 "General Star?" the man inquired.
50 "Yes, what is it?" North's father replied, saluting.
51 "I have an invitation, sir," the man continued, "for your son and
wife to visit The Palace of The Lord God, especially his son and wife,
Morning Star and Golden One. Here are the invitations and their
security passes."
52 The General stood there f·or a moment, with mouth open. Such
invitations were unheard of. He took them, and, the passes proudly,
giving the Officer a sharp salute. "Thank you!" he said, "Thank you
very much!"
53 The next morning they received a phone call saying that a flier
would pick them up and bring them to the Palace as soon as they were
ready.
54 So began a friendship that would last for hundreds of years. But
those early years went swiftly, especially when the boys entered school
the next year. It was no time at all before North and Morn were
anxiously awaiting their ninth Visitation Day.
