52 "Fairly well," the woman answered.
53 "You deal!" Morn told her.
54 For several hours they played cards while the woman told him of her childhood, and of the out-of-the-way colony where her parents had made their fortune before returning to Haven. "How I'd love to go back there!" she sighed. "There's a shipyard there. I hope when I'm free Red Mountain can get an assignment out there. I don't EVER want to see Haven again!  Too many bad memories!"
55 Morn yawned as they finished the hand. "Hadn't we better get to bed?" she sighed. "We can't put it off all night! "
56 Morn looked at his watch-phone. "You're right," he agreed. "I've got school tomorrow! " He got up, took her hand, and led her to his mother's bedroom. "Go to bed," he told her. "Don't worry about tomorrow. I'll take care of it."
57 "You're sure?" the woman inquired. "I mean, I really don't....."
58 Morn put his fingers on her lips. "Yes, you do," he said. "Now, go to sleep."
59 The woman smiled and shut the door. Morn too, went to his room, but instead of going to bed, went to his video phone. As he'd hoped there was only one Red Mountain, Chief Engineer, listed at the shipyard. He put through the call. A man rubbing sleep from his eyes answered. "Yes? Can I help you?"
60 Morn explained who he was. "What can I do for you?" Red Mountain asked.
61 "Be at the main beam receiving station first thing in the morning," Morn responded. "Wait there until I arrive. Don't ask any other questions."
62 "I'll be late for work," the man insisted.
63 "I'll give you a note," Morn replied, "saying you were doing some personal work for my father and I. I don't think anyone will question it."
64 Red Mountain nodded. Morn went to bed, noted what time
