17 North knew of such books. Sometimes some of his classmates would
smuggle books like this into school, and show them around. What was on
the next pages, though, DID surprise him. The pictures showed men and
women knowing each other, and further on, he was really startled, for a
whole page was covered with a picture of two men knowing each other.
18 "They're both men! " North exclaimed, surprised. "Did they actually
do things like that?"
19 "Yes," encouraged his host. "They found it extremely pleasurable!
There's nothing wrong with it," he continued, as he reached out and put
his hand on North's knee. "It's really quite enjoyable."
20 North was about to say he didn't think he would find it so, when the door buzzer began to ring violently, and there was
a banging on the door, itself. Startled, The Lord God's brother rose,
went down the hall, and opened the door. North heard his father's angry
voice cry out. "Where is he? Where's my son?"
21 North rose and entered the hallway. "I am here, father," he
announced as he came into view.
22 His father looked at him, then to The Lord God's brother, then, back
to his son again. "Where are your things?" he asked his son, and what
have you been doing?"
23 "In the library, father," North responded. "We've been looking at
some ancient books."
24 When General Star heard this, he shoved The Lord God's brother
aside, and headed down the corridor, with the man and his son
following. The General picked up the book, took one look, and hurled it
across the room. "Get your things, North," he cried, "and get out of
here, now!"
25 For a moment North stood in total silence, his father had never
spoken to him in such a manner. He couldn't understand what was wrong.
