Spiritual," he continued, "I must know what is to
come. I must be willing of my own free will, to take that part."
51 "If you are not," agreed The Hashon, "then we will fail. Another
will have to be chosen and it may take us three or four thousand years
to be ready again."
52 Morn bowed his head. "I am yours," he announced, "to do with as you
will. I am the Servant of the Truth and the Light. I will follow it
where my destiny leads."
53 "It is good," both Messengers answered in unison, "no more can be
said." The Spirits vanished as they had come, but somewhat swifter.
54 "We give you thanks, oh Lords of Truth," praised Morn, and his
mother,for that that you have sent forth. Blessed be."
55 Morn got to his feet and helped his mother up. "I think I'd better
go finish my studies," he remarked. "I have a lot to think about!"
