would take his mind, it would control him as it controlled all the previous Lord Gods. Not even he, with everything he had been taught, could resist its power, not in this material form. What was to happen would have to happen before he became Lord God, and would have to enter The Holy Of Holies again.
40 That evening there was a lavish banquet at The Palace, and The Lord God announced another surprise for North. The first of the new class battleships built by The Hashons with the new gluka molded hulls was receiving its final fittings at the shipyards. It was to be North's flagship. It was faster and had more firepower than anything that had ever been built before.
41 "They are waiting, General, to put her name on, and I give you the honor of naming her. What shall it be?"
42 North rose to his feet. "In honor of the occasion," he cried, "and because she is the mightiest ship of The Fleet, let her be called 'The Morning Star.'"
43 The Lord God rose and everyone else followed him. "So be it," he cried, "a toast to 'The Morning Star'! Long and glorious be her career! Let her be invincible to any that come against her!"
44 "To 'The Morning Star’!" everyone cried around the table as they downed their drinks.
45 "Now ladies," requested The Lord God, "if you will excuse us, why do you not retire to the music room? I have arranged for one of our most talented young pianists to play fot you. I have words for your men."
46 The Waiters refreshed the lady's drinks, and they withdrew. Cigars were brought and most accepted. North and Morn, however, had long ago given up this disgusting habit. "General Northern Star, you will accompany me to my private chamber. Excuse me, gentlemen, but I have some private instructions for the General."
47 Everyone but Morn bowed as The Lord God and North departed. The Lord God seated himself and motioned
