but as soon as that is complete I want
counterstrikes! I want victories! I want to see pictures of their
fleets and planets burning. I want to see the blood of their women and
children in the streets! Negotiations must be on MY terms! You will
return to The Academy, General, and continue in your fine work of
producing the Officers we need."
22 "Yes , My Lord!" Red Star
replied. He rose and departed. As soon as he left The Lord Gcd turned
to one of his Aides. "He is to be watched," he ordered, "watched
carefully." The Aide nodded and departed.
23 "Now gentlemen" The
Lord God continued, "how shall we proceed?"
24 "First of all,"
suggested one General, "our forces at Peepi should be withdrawn. They
can be used as a spearhead for our drive against Hades. We must take
these three systems to give us a bridge to The Rebels' Capitol. Take
that, and we can split them in half, then, at our leisure, finish them
off. Their shipyards at Hades are the finest they have. Their loss
will finish them."
25 The Lord God nodded. "Unfortunately " he
objobected, "The Peepian Forces cannot be withdrawn, and the corridor
supplying them must be kept open. This is precisely where they expect
us to attack, and I don't like to do what an enemy wants me to do. I
prefer doing what he does not expect.
26 Therefore, come up with
another plan, a plan that will strike at perhaps two or three vital
points at once. Make them draw forces from their primary positions to
defend secondary ones, then attack the primary positions. Wear them
down before you go for their throats. As The Commander of The Academy
said we have several months to prepare. Let us find their weak points
and exploit them."
27 "As my God commands" The General announced.
