Mountain Glory smiled at him. "Sorry, pet," she grinned, "I'm taken! Gotta be back in a couple of hours. Keep trying.. You'll find somebody!"
The young man shrugged. "Lucky guy!" he laughed. "Give him my regards!" As he walked down the street the young fighting man glanced over his shoulder. '"That' s got to be some Warlock's joy!" he said, just loud enough for Mountain Glory to hear. She smiled a little as she walked down the street.
She saw a gorgeous looking dress in a window, but wondered what kept it on! An older woman standing in the doorway laughed. ''I've been watching you come down the street," she remarked, "you must be a country girl."
"Village born and raised," agreed Mountain Glory.
"What are you looking for, dear?” the woman asked.
"Something that will impress a man," answered Mountain Glory, "that's very hard to impress!"
The woman looked at her in disbelief. "Sweet child," she remarked "if what you've got already doesn't impress him, he’s either blind, or in a coma, or too old to care! But come on in. I think we can make you more noticeable. Get back there in the dressing room and get that uniform off. I suppose you've got nothing on under it but military issue, right?"
Mountain Glory nodded. "From the bottom, up!" the woman continued. In a few minutes she had her dressed in silky underthings and stockings. "Well, what's underneath," the woman laughed, "should take his breath away!"
The first two dresses she brought in were either cut too low or too high, but the third and fourth ones seemed to hang just right. As Mountain Glory stepped back and adjusted it on her shoulder a bit, the woman stared at the birthmark on her chest.
