our guest?"
147 Gray Boar's stepfather appeared from the house with an extra chair
and sat it down. He turned to Little Blue Blossom. "Are you warm
enough?" he asked. "Do you need a blanket?"
148 "No, no!" insisted the old woman, raising a shaking hand, "I'm
fine! I've got some extra sunshine, now, to keep me warm. Come, my
child! Tell me all about you, and in The Name of The Lords, are you
wearing a gun?"
149 "I'm afraid so," answered Mountain Glory. "I'm on duty."
150 She saw Gray Boar drive off, and spent several pleasant hours
talking to his mother, both telling about herself, and learning about
Gray Boar. She saw another plane coming in to land, but didn't pay much
attention, or did she notice all the people gathering at the houses
around them. But when she saw seven cars rolling up the road, she knew
something was happening ...especially when she saw her mother and
father in the first car with Gray Boar. "What's going ON here?" she
asked his mother.
151 Little Blue Blossom took her hand. "I think you know," she laughed.
When she saw The Speaker and children in the second car, she DID know!
"Oh, my Lord!" she cried, "Here? Like this?"
152 "I can't get down to the Temple," the old woman remarked, "so
they're bringing the Temple to me!"
153 Several men came around the corner carrying The Lords Symbol. They
sat it down neatly in the corner of the yard and saluted it. Gray Boar
brought Mountain Glory's parents over. Her mother was carrying
something. "Hadn't we better go inside, my little one?" she smiled,
"and put this on? What you're wearing is very pretty, but this was
mine and my mothers and her mothers before her. And I hope, also, YOU
will have a daughter to wear it."
