city and finally Gray Boar sent an Emissary with
a white flag.
193 "Your women and children," pleaded the Emissary, "suffer. Let them
come out. We will send them to camps in the north, where they will be
well treated."
194 Now, The Oneness' War Leader knew The Children of Spirit were
honorable, and that in their hands his women and children would be
safe, so they sent them out. As soon as they were clear, the
bombardment started again. After seven days the city was finally
theirs, but they did not have ONE prisoner. The Oneness had fought to the death.
195 Now, they turned west, and headed for Little and Purity. In The
Pass of The Seven Turtles, the enemy again fought with all they had.
The death on both sides was high, but finally The Children of Spirit
broke through. Turning south again, they approached Purity and found it
heavily defended, its women and children gone. In two days it was
theirs.
196 They traveled west to Oneness, and found it deserted, blown apart,
and on fire. Now, they traveled north and found Little did not fit its
name. The enemy had hurriedly built defenses in the swamps. The city,
itself, was like a fortress, and when they began fighting they found
bodies of women among the enemy soldiers.
197 Tanks were useless, and only light boats could move in the swamps.
Only their bombers and fighters could support their move on the city.
The enemy could put nothing in the air to stop them.
198 Sometimes his bombers attacked over the mountains but his fighters
could not reach them. One afternoon the advancing soldiers came on a
strange sight. On three small islands in the midst of the swamp, sat
thousands of women and children....no food, no water, the enemy had
simply brought them out and sat them there for The Children of Spirit
