199 The water treatment plant had been destroyed, and they were drinking the water out of the swamp, which was polluted. Many were getting sick. Their people had put them on boats and brought them out here in the middle of the night.
200 Gray Boar delayed his attack long enough to remove this wretched humanity, then pressed on. it was four weeks before the city finally fell, only a few hundred ragged, sick and half-starved enemy surrendered. But in Mu it was over. Never again would The Oneness ever push through the mountains and enter that Land again.
201 Gray Boar was weary but he withdrew as much of his forces as he could, traveled north through Tr, The Holy Land, Zo, and came south. Here, things would not be so easy. For one thing, the enemy had a considerable navy that virtually ruled the Southern Lakes.
202 But a canal had been built between the southern and the northern lake big enough to handle heavy warships so Gray Boar brought down everything he had. He was not a seaman himself , and asked who the best in the area was. Everyone told him Spitting Serpent from Fin was the best they had. So Gray Boar told him, "Take everything you've got, go down and blow the enemy out of the water. I don't want one thing of his afloat by the end of the week!"
203 ''They outnumber us, two to one," remarked Spitting Serpent, "and they've got a couple of ships that are bigger than anything we've got. But if you say do it, I will. Our torpedo planes and bombers will help. We have the edge in the air, and our submarines are better than anything they have."
204 He sailed south and two days later the enemy came out to meet them. Off Repentance the two fleets fought, for four days! Finally, the enemy tried to withdraw, two-thirds of his forces gone. But Spitting Serpent pursued
