by The Lords. What I write myself is plain, and
has little meaning, but when They add Their Power to my words it
becomes a thing wondrous and alive.
67 Now, it is time for bed, little ones. You older ones, you know your
assignments. See that the little ones get home. Good sleep, and sweet
dreams to you all!"
68 The children got up and bowed. "Peace be with you, Teacher!" they
cried, and departed.
69 Brown Goat wrote down his stories about Groam, and they were printed
in a book. For many, many generations it was the favorite book for
children, reprinted many times, and many plays were based on the
stories.
70 Brown Goat wrote many other stories also, one about a dog that
becomes a man, and found that being a dog wasn't so bad, after all. One
about a girl that would do anything for money, and how she lost all of her
friends becoming rich, and found that riches were little substitute for
friendship.
71 These were but a few of the stories he left his people, not to
mention the many books of Wisdom he wrote. It was said if Brown Goat
didn't write about it, it wasn't worth talking about! It was usually
the children asking him questions on the Temple steps that inspired his
writing.
