9 "My mommy says those are bad things to talk about," interrupted a little girl, "that children should not think about such things."
10 "Of course you must think about such things!" continued Brown Goat. "If you are not told the truth about them, you may begin to believe all kinds of strange tales as to where you come from.
11 Some parents seem to be afraid to tell their children that their mother and father laid down together, that their father put part of himself in their mother, and she combined it with part of herself to make you.
12 And each of you is different from the other, for no two parts joined together ever make the same thing."
13 "But our neighbor had two babies at once," argued a boy, "and they look just alike! Surely THEY are the same."
14 "Not absolutely," explained Brown Goat. They may appear alike, but they are not. There are tiny differences you cannot see. But these two are as close as any living ones can be. Their flesh is almost identical so their Eternal Spirits also, are almost identical. They share a kinship few others can know, for they were one who became two."
15 "But why, Lord," inquired one boy, "I hear your words, but I do not understand. Why must there be boys and girls? Could not The Great Wonder of All Things, The Law of Laws, have provided that we make children in some other way?"
