61 Gray Deer and The Hawk looked at each other. Almost in unison they
gasped, "She did WHAT?" The Lady Hawk repeated her statement.
62 "I think," insisted The Hawk, "I have to take a trip to Eastern!
There's a Temple I have to visit!"
63 A few .days later he departed. It did not take him long to find The
Temple in question. There was a large sign outside it which read "Loved
Ones Removed From The Darkness. Departed Loved Ones Given Bread And
Wine. See Speaker."
64 The Hawk entered The Temple and a soft-spoken young man approached
him. "May I help you, sir?" he asked.
65 "What does your sign mean?" inquired The Hawk.
66 "For a donation to The Temple," the young man explained, "which will
go to help the poor, we will say prayers for those departed Souls that
dwell in The Darkness, and their crimes will be atoned for. That is why
we are called The Temple of Atonement."
67 "What is this thing that you can give deceased Loved Ones The Bread
And Wine?"
68 "If you have some deceased Loved One," The Speaker continued, "who
has never taken The Bread and The Wine, you can bring them to The
Lords. For a small fee you can take The Bread and The Wine for a male
Ancestor, and their names may be entered in The Book Of The Beloved.
Or, your mate may take The Bread and Wine for a deceased female Loved
One. Then, they will be one with The Lords."
69 "I have never heard of such things!" argued The Hawk. "Where in The
Old Fox's Writings are such things mentioned?"
70 "I am not sure they are!" answered The Speaker. "Our Teachings are a
new revelation, from our Lord, Shining Boar. This is the first Temple
to practice these teachings. But we hope to have Temples in every city
