or a child taking your hand and asking you to come and play. Such is The Power of The Lords. They could win for us every battle by remarkable means, but instead They teach us to use our strength and our wits.  And They save Their Power to Light The Darkness, to save the fallen Souls, and bring all to The Light. Marvelous is Their Wisdom! Glory is Their Way!"
45 "Blessed be!" cried the men, "Blessed be!"
46 Yet another night as the fire flickered, another young man sought his wisdom. "Lord," he asked, "why are some of the people in the world wise, and why are some foolish? Why do some believe in gods and all kinds of foolish things, like this superior race thing, of The Epons?"
47 "Each race," began The Hawk, "is like a child. When it is young, it believes any foolishness it is told, every ridiculous tale, every foolish thing that comes along it accepts as truth. But just as a child grows in wisdom, so does a race. The Epons ARE yet children, we are perhaps, half grown.”
48 The men laughed. "Surely,Lord," they said, "you jest, surely our race is mature."
49 "Our race is maturING," argued The Hawk. "It is by no means finished. There are those among us that will turn to evil, those that will forget The Law, who would take The Lords Teachings and turn them to evil practices. We must be always on guard against such people."
50 "Lord," he cried, "if what you say is true, why are we so far ahead of The Epons and the other races that still believe in the foolishness of gods? Why has our race learned wisdom and The Giants, and, The Zoans, but others still claim the barbaric ideas?"
51 "As each eternal Spirit returns to this world to live again, it seeks a body in those areas that are attuned to its own level, its own desires, the
