He pulled it up and rolled over a man's body. The rifle was beneath him, so was his supply pouch and ammunition. "Lord," asked Red Cat, "for I know You are one of Them, why did this man die?"
15 "He bitterly used a young woman, beating her so bad she almost died. He escaped justice until now."
16 Red Cat kicked a bump in the sand, and a man's helmet emerged. As he put it on, he looked at his own lying nearby. The neat hole in the side made him nervous.
17 "There are more provisions and water here," announced the Spirit.
18 Red Cat pulled another body from the sand, this, of a young woman. She had been shot through the throat and the sand was red with her blood.
Red Cat took her canteen, and the food from her pouch. "And this one?" he asked.
19 "She is a thief," answered The Lord, "the two rings in her pouch she stole from her companions.  She will steal no more. You will be many days in the desert, and need more water. There is another canteen, here."
20 The third body was also a woman, older than the first. The other two had looked afraid, but this one looked peaceful and quiet, as if she had merely gone to sleep. "And this one?" muttered Red Cat, as he took her canteen and provisions.
21 "It was simply her hour," commented his Teacher. "The number of her days were done, and it was time for her to be with Us."
22 Red Cat touched the woman's cheek. "Sleep well, sister," he prayed, "swift journey Home. I've got all I need. Show me the way out of here. I'm not sure which is north, or, south!"
23 The Spirit started off, and Red Cat followed
