been carrying is the first born of the Oneness'
Royal Family!"
45 "I thought they abolished the royalty," inquired Red Cat.
46 "As far as rule goes, yes,” explained Shy Fox. "They have no
political power. But the descendants of those that sided with them in
the rebellion are still considered important people, and are often
given positions of authority. Even so, this young man must be quite a fighter to be given a rank like this.”
47 Red Cat laughed. "Quite a joke on me, huh? Carrying a prince of The
Oneness across the desert like a beast of burden! It will be worth it,
though, if that boy gets his wits back. He may be grateful and
willingly tell us much.”
48 The man did; both. In a few days Red Cat knew when he returned to
Northern, there was something he would have to take care of,
unpleasant as it might be. He did not know that as he thought those very thoughts,
the problem was being taken care of for him.
