machine rifles and one day, as the dust of summer
settled, they attacked. The enemy called these weapons armored weapons
carriers; but they looked like fuel tanks with treads under them, and
weapons sticking out so The Children Of Spirit called them tanks.
35 In the first few battles the tanks were successful, but The Children
of Spirit had their own new weapons. One was an immensely powerful tube
that launched a small rocket. With them, they destroyed tank after tank.
36 The second were two tanks that they wore on their backs which fed
fuel and air through a hose to a burner. This burner threw out great
streams of fire. They called the weapon a flame thrower.
37 With these two things they drove The Oneness back, neither giving
nor losing ground. But The Oneness would not make peace. It was the
beginning of the final war that would go on for many, many seasons.
