176 "I would've died in a matter of minutes," explained Bullet.
177 "You risked your life to save him!" Sweet Blossom continued.
178 "Not really," insisted Bullet, "I knew how to handle him."
179 "But there was a chance he could have cut you," insisted Sweet Blossom.
180 "There's always chance in anything," agreed Bullet.
181 Sweet Blossom looked away. "I'm sorry," she wept.
182 "Sorry for what?" asked Bullet.
183 "That I didn't trust you, didn't believe in you.”
184 "Don't worry about it!" comforted Bullet.
185 It was still quite early when The Young Speaker made his farewells. Bullet let Sweet Blossom go off with him. He stayed a while longer, and had a few dances with some of the younger women, then got a ride back to Sweet Blossom's house. He never thought he'd enjoy anything like a Church dance, but he did, and that night he slept very well! He didn't wake and worry at every little sound like he used to.
186 When he got up in the morning, he even found the run more pleasant. The others were busy packing. It was early afternoon and Bullet had been showing The Young Speaker's Guards some special techniques he'd learned. He was surprised when he came back to the house and found his things in the hallway.
187 The Young Speaker came up. "Let's go for a walk," he insisted. "I want to talk to you." They walked for some distance without saying anything, then The Young Speaker started talking.
