37 "The scars," she wept, "they're gone! Don't you know what those are? They're the pins from my leg!" She began to laugh and cry at the same time.
38 Bullet carefully sat the two objects on a bureau. Backing away he remembered The Young Speaker's words; "I could heal her," he muttered, "'but not until she lets go of those who are gone, and ceases to hate.'"
39 Bullet stared at the pins. "I guess it's all right, now," sighed Sweet Blossom.
40 "Yes," agreed Bullet. "It's alright now. But I've never been so scared in my life. Bullets, knives, fists, I can handle those things. But this, this is something altogether different. We'd better take you to your Doctor. Let him check it out, just to be sure."
41 Sweet Blossom laughed. At the hospital, though, no one was in any mood to laugh. A dozen Doctors came in to examine her leg. They took x-rays, studied them again and again, but finally gave up.
42 "It's impossible," they insisted, "absolutely impossible! We put these pins in ourselves. There's no way they could pass through bone and flesh to come out!  And the scars are gone! The bones are perfect- the tendons, the muscles, there's absolutely NO trace of the injury.  It just could NOT have happened!"
43 "But it DID!" laughed Bullet, "It DID happen.  Now you could convince me of ANYTHING; IF The Lords have something to do with it!"
44 "I had doubts, too!" agreed one Doctor, "but I don't think I ever will again!"
45 "Well," insisted Bullet, "you'll have to excuse us, gentlemen, we have to go and see a man about a mating contract. When you're given a pre-mating gift like this, you'd better show your appreciation!" Everyone in the room laughed except Sweet Blossom.
46 They signed contract that afternoon, and the next few days were very happy. When Smiling Fox arrived, Bullet was reluctant to leave, but Sweet Blossom told him she
