202 "Yes," answered Bright Serpent. "he phoned
me. He had a lead that there was a house in the city where women had
been seen entering but where they didn't come out; a house of pleasure
called The Golden Key."
203 Bullet didn't like the sound of it. "That fits with MY
information," agreed Smiling Fox, "we've been watching that house for
some time. Our people knew your man was asking around and were
suspicious. Apparently somebody else was, too, because he went into The
Golden Key and hasn't come out since! That's three days ago!"
204 "The chances are," agreed Bullet, "if this place is what you think
it is, he's already dead, unless they decided to play with him for a
while. How many men have you got in this area?"
205 "I can get about twenty," answered Smiling Fox, "machine rifles,
grenades, and rocket launchers."
206 "And I've gotten men," put in Bright Serpent, "the best I can do is
machine rifles."
207 "They'll have to do," announced Bullet. "Let's get them gathered.
We'll hit them tonight. We'll also need some pocket talkies equipped
with an automatic beeper signal. You and I will go in first, learn the
lay of the place, then signal the others to come in after us."
208 “I'll get on it!” agreed Smiling Fox.
209 So it was, early that evening Smiling Fox and Bullet casually
walked in the front doors of The Golden Key.
