for years, and this is one of the worst I've ever seen!"
123 The man on the ground suddenly sat up and screamed, putting his
hands over his eyes, that looked as if they had been burned out. The
young man walked over and knelt down. "Take it easy, mister!" he
comforted, "Take it easy!"
124 The man looked at him as if he could see, jumped to his feet. "Get
away from me!" he cried, "Get away!" He retreated further back into the
Darkness.
125 "Central," the young man called, "this is sector six. Where's that
help?"
126 "Right here," another man answered, walking out of the Light. The
man was dressed in Speaker's robes, and seemed to radiate kindness. The
tormented Spirit could just barely be seen retreating further into the
Darkness, crying and holding one part of his body after another. "Help me!" he was pleading,
"Please, help me! The pain, the pain!"
127 The Speaker approached him. "Easy," he comforted, "Easy! Sit down.
Relax. Try not to be afraid."
128 "No!" the man screamed, "No! Stay away! I know what you are. You
want to devour me. You won't have MY Spirit! You won't! Stay away!"
129 The kindly Speaker backed off. "We want to help you," he assured.
"We can, if you listen to us, but you have to listen. The pain is
because you did things wrong, BAD things. If you admit those things,
and realize they were bad, we can help you. We can get the people you
wronged to forgive, but you have to say you're sorry."
130 "You're demons," the man screamed, "Demons!
