Linda Polley in the 1990s.
Thanks for visiting my page! As editor of VOICES FROM SPIRIT MAGAZINE
I've decided to include all the articles I've written we've published, and
added a few of my favorites here. Of course I do all the typing, both of
the rough draft and, the finished copy of VOICES, after first taking dictation
for Gerald's articles in long hand. And of course the best part of my job
is getting to ask the questions to all the Spirits that borrow Gerald's
body for our Interviews. Sometimes he just repeats to me what he hears Spirits
telling him, which is fascinating material to write down. I set appointments
for Gerald's radio interviews, read books to review, (I'll give some samples
of these here) write down all Gerald's books for him, edit them and type
them up, answer mail, help maintain this web site, and last but not least
do boring old housework. When I get a break I enjoy playing my keyboard,
or, bass accordion, and watching a few sci fi or mystery t.v. shows.
I'm probably the only person in the world that dares to call the Spirit
of Rudolph Valentino Rudy, that has sung in our apartment with the Spirit
of Elvis Presley, tells jokes with Lou Costello and W.C. Fields, and has
dared to say, with no disrespect intended, "May the Force be with you!"
to the Spirit Of St. Luke!
I'm including a few of my favorite articles first. I hope you'll enjoy
them.

VOICES FROM SPIRIT
By; Speaker Linda J. Polley
I regret I have to write this little article but I have a
pet peeve that is growing more irritating day by day. That is- our readers-
several of them subscribers for years- getting the name of this magazine
wrong in correspondence and ads! Don't get me wrong, I love all of you
who show interest in our work, but this is "VOICES FROM SPIRIT MAGAZINE,"
NOT "Voices From The Spirit," which I believe is another publication altogether,
nor is this "Voices Of Spirit," or, "Voices Of The Spirit."
This is Voices From Spirit Magazine, so named by me in the '70s to emphasize
our "The Spirits Speak" column. I hope you will understand my wish to express
my irritation on this matter, and try to call us by our real name.
YOU'RE NEVER ALONE
By; Speaker Linda J. Polley
Daily we receive blessings from Our Loved Ones in Spirit. Some of us might not even know They are there, watching over us. Still, They help everyone They can, and guide us on our proper Path to Enlightenment. Give thanks for Their Help every day. Remember that no one is ever truly alone. There is always a friend nearby.

SHARING MY BURDENS
By; Speaker Linda J. Polley
The other day I heard a Christian friend of ours make a statement
that really disturbed me. He said he couldn't understand how it must feel
for someone who hadn't been saved to cope with all their burdens of sin
and worry. That it feels so wonderful to know The Nazarene was there, helping
him with his problems.
Well, of course we know The Nazarene helps all who worship Him, just as
our Lords, The Great Teachers and Spirits who have done good in their lifetimes,
help guide us every day..
The only difference in this, is when we tell our troubles and wrong doings
to The Lords, we don't expect them to be completely taken from us, we have
to ourselves work at doing better in this lifetime, and try to right the
wrongs we've committed, accept we have done them, and continue to grow;
and, with the help of Our Blessed Ones, become better.
I do not personally understand why it is so terrible I am not a Christian.
I am a Friend Of The Nazarene, and all who truly worship Him, as I am to
the good people of all faiths, that do not commit sacrifice or teach evil.
I do not go out and commit crimes, lie or cheat people. There is no one
in the world I hate. I accept the fact that others are different from me
and have their own religious beliefs, and do not try to force others to
accept my own faith, and I hope they will treat me in the same way.
I do not feel I am weighted down with burdens. I have The Love Of Spirit,
know The Truth, and feel I am free!

Patrick Troughton, British actor who was the second Doctor in the famous
DOCTOR WHO series asked us to make some comments on the recent DOCTOR WHO
movie produced by the Fox network.
It was fair, but the general opinion of all the previous Doctors is they
don't like the way they changed the TARDIS. They made it look too primitive.
Though it is supposed to be an older model this was a little bit ridiculous.
Perhaps in future movies they can return a little bit of its character and
dignity. Otherwise than that, they consider the movie a half decent effort,
much better than they expected from 'the Colonials.'

THE "IMPROPER" CHANNEL
Notes And Messages By A Spirit Thusfar
Unknown To The Material World
Channeled Through Speaker Gerald A. Polley
Jolly-o, pip pip, and all that! Hello, all of you good people out there!
My name is Fred, and if you haven't guessed by now, I'm a bit of the English.
Here in The Spirit World, I am an actor currently starring in The Spirit
World version of a very popular British science fiction series called Dr.
Who.
Spirit television is a little bit different from the way it works on Earth.
Here people all over the world order the daily episodes of your show. If
you continue to get enough orders to make your productions worthwile you
keep going, if you do not continue to get enough orders for them you stop
making them. Fortunately we are one of the most popular shows currently
running.
It is funny sometimes to visit parts of the world that are still like
the 1900s, and to see our shows shown in cinemas with the dialogue written
at the bottom of the picture.
How, do you ask, do people there have the time for so much entertainment
in Spirit?
Well, as Spirits only work an eight hour day, sometimes less, and most
do not bother to sleep, this leaves sixteen hours to fill, so entertainment
is an important and vital industry. the only problem with The Spirit World
is its perfection, and finding things to occupy your time between lifetimes
can be very important!
I really enjoy my work, and love doing personal appearances with my traveling
companions from the show. My life long experience in the vaudeville theaters
gave me ample training to carry on the profession in Spirit, and I thoroughly
enjoy my work.
There is just something about taking a half hour or hour of peoples' time
and filling it with fun and adventure that makes me feel extremely good!
And any profession a person has in Spirit should do this...make them feel
extremely good!
I hope you have enjoyed my little talk and if you have any questions be
sure to ask. I'd love to talk with you again.
By the way, I'm Doctor #6, played on Earth by Colin Baker.
*Editor's note 1998-Fred has now been reincarnated for several years. We wish him a long and happy lifetime!

ROCK AND ROLL IN HEAVEN
By; Speaker Gerald A. Polley
With the establishing of The Grand Alliance there has been a lot of unusual
activity in The Spirit Realm that has not occurred before.
Several years ago my wife and I became acquainted with the most popular
rock group in The Spirit Realm called "Bach, Beethoven and Brahms Plus
One," made up of Greek lead singer and guitarist Nikki, G, base guitarist
from Italy, Matthew, keyboard and sax from England, and Christopher, Australian
drummer and vocal backup. They do all the popular rock & roll classics
plus many songs of their own like their tribute to Elvis called "Wikki
Wack Wail," "We've Gotta Go And Save That Whale," "I'm In Love With My
Postman," just to name a few.
A short time ago the incredible happened when this band of rock &
rollers received an invitation from The Nazarene to do a Command Performance
for Him. The boys, as they are often called, were delighted but totally
perplexed as to what numbers they should perform, but finally settled on
a list and the performance went very well and was received with good comments
from The Nazarene and His followers. But it has been running through my
mind for some time and I am sure others will ponder, also, in the same circumstances
what songs would you have done? What do you feel would have been appropriate?
I'm sure everyone would have their own list. But if you feel like sending
yours in, go ahead, and we'll publish the most favored selections in a
few months.
