Ashtar Command's troubles continue to grow. Though they have tried to downplay the incident word of the farmers destroying their crops spread, and the people of another planet followed their example. Though they were not able to destroy as much as their brother rebels had done, they did considerable damage.
The Ashtarians decided to make an example of the two leaders of the first uprising by executing them for the destruction of Ashtarian property. This idea backfired, however, when the local population freed ALL the prisoners and turned on their overseers, both native and, Ashtarian, killing 526, including 13 women and children. 46 other women and children have disappeared. It is believed they have gone willingly with the rebels.
It is reported that one comand post was overrun with the aid of the Commander's wife, who led the attackers in through a secret entrance.
The Ashtarians have landed security forces in the major population centers and have limited control of these, but cannot venture into the countryside without being attacked, nor, can they export food or even supply the cities they are holding.
The Galactic Forces have offered shipments of emergency rations but they will only deliver them to the Ashtarian Homeworld, not to the outlying worlds so the Ashtarians can ship those peoples' grains and produce to the capital.
The Ashtarians have thusfar refused the shipments but they cannot do so much longer as their lower classes are already running low on basic provisions.

Ashtar Command's difficulties continue to grow. The farmer's revolt has turned into a full scale armed rebellion. The Ashtarians have brought in reinforcements from all eight of their subject worlds, even non-Ashtarians from the security forces of other planets but it has not done them any good.
The Ashtarians have been driven from two of the major cities on one continent suffering severe losses in three heavy surface battles. The Ashtarians threatened to bring in heavy ships whose weapons outranged the defenders' and to bombard the fallen cities from orbit. But The Galactic Forces interceeded, warning the Ashtarians that if they attempted to bombard the cities they would destroy the Ashtarian cruisers.
Several Ashtarian ships approached the troubled planet but when they were met by superior Galactic vessels, they withdrew, and have made no further attempt to enter the rebel systems. When The Ashtarians announced lower ranking citizens were being called up to serve in the security forces, some personnel deserted and have gone into hiding.
One district has closed itself off and refuses to let recruiters (ha,ha!) into their territory. So much for the old superior race!

The situation because of Ashtar Command is becoming more difficult with each passing day. The Galactic Forces have recently come to me requesting permission to land five five man special operations squads to hunt down and eliminate Ashtar Command operatives on Earth. I have absolutely forbidden any such operations! We have enough problems on Earth.
I have told them I will take care of Ashtar Command's operations on Earth in my own good time, and in my own way.
The Galactic agent assured me my wishes would be obeyed, but I don't quite like the way he said it. SO I would very much appreciate it if any persons working for Ashtar Command on Earth have any visits from hostile individuals advising them to find other pursuits, that they inform me immediately!
The agents The Galactic Forces would generally use for such operations could be of two races that appear quite human. One is tall, commonly dark haired and dark eyed, slender in build but very strong with light skin, sometimes pale by human standards. The others would be average height, again dark eyed, but very dark skinned. They usually wear their hair just below the ears and it is very straight. All would speak very perfect English, not using any slang of any type.
The dark skinned agents tend to project an air of authority without expressing any hostility. If anyone working for Ashtar Command is troubled by individuals fitting these descriptions, I ask again that they let me know.

Galactic Security agents working in force near Ashtarian territory became aware that a fleet of forty smuggler vessels were preparing to run the blockade and bring in supplies The Ashtarians desperately needed to continue their war effort.
Fifty Galactic Vesseles were sent to intercept the convoy. They succeeded in doing so but there were also ten warships with the freighters. The smugglers did not withdraw as they normally do, but held their positions until thirty Ashtarian ships arrived to reinforce them, then they fought their way through the blockade.
After what only could be described as nine hours of vicious close quarter combat, The Galactic Forces withdrew. Then more Ashtarian ships arrived. The Galactic Forces lost seven vessels, six were heavily damaged and four were lightly damaged.
The Ashtarians lost seven vessels and the smugglers lost five. To what extent their ships are damaged is unknown. The Ashtarian Forces are claiming a major victory, where The Galactic Forces consider the incident a minor skirmish.
The Commander of The Galactic Forces, however, did send a signal of 'well fought' to the Ashtarian Forces as they withdrew.

There has been a terrible explosion on the capital of one of the worlds taking part in The Galactic blockade of The Ashtarians. At present it is impossible to determine if this explosion was an accident at one of their power plants, or a high yield weapon somehow slipped through their defenses.
There are at least thirty-thousand known dead, and another five or six-thousand may die of injuries they have sustained. The world's populace is demanding action against The Ashtarians, but their government, what is left of it, is refusing to take any action without positive proof of Ashtarian involvment.

Ashtar Command has accepted The Galactic Forces' offer to send relief supplies to their Capital, and to their forces fighting the rebels on two of their subject worlds. The Galactic Forces have done so on the stipulation they be allowed to deliver supplies to the rebels, also. Ashtar Command reluctantly agreed and they also agreed to send a representative to meet with the heads of The Galactic Forces to discuss terms for the lifting of the blockade.

The Ashtarian representative has returned to his people with The Galactic Forces' demands for the lifting of the blockade.

1. The Ashtarians are to sign the Galactic Treaty Of Non-Interference and abide by its principles.

2. The Ashtarians are to withdraw all their agents from primitive worlds they are trying to influence or have their agents join local movements and give up The Ashtarian Way.

3. The Ashtarians are to help The Galactic Forces restore the societies The Ashtarians have interfered with as much as possible back to the state they were in before The Ashtarians interfered with them.

4. The Ashtarians are to pay the cost of the conflict against them.

5. The Ashtarians are to replace all vessels they have destroyed in the conflict and reduce the number of their warships to a level acceptable by The Galactic Community.

6. In the future Ashtaria will provide personnel for warships of The Galactic Community to help enforce the noninterference doctrine.

The Galactic Community stands firm that the blockade will NOT be lifted until The Ashtarians agree to these terms. The Ashtarian representative said the terms were totally unacceptable but he would take them back to his people. As he was departing word arrived of yet a third uprising against The Ashtarians. This means that three of their eight subject planets are now in rebellion against them.

The Ashtarian Forces continue to take a beating against the rebels rising against them. The Ashtarians have been driven from all but two cities on one continent of the first world to rebel and from all but one city on a second continent.
It is believed by the Galactic Forces that The Ashtarians are bringing in vicious mercinaries from unallied races to help them in the battles, but even these have done them little good. It also reported that The Ashtarians are stripping public buildings and private homes of native artifacts as they retreat, and also taking the jewelry of natives. The rebels have pleaded with The Galactic Forces to prohibit The Ashtarians from leaving their world with these precious symbols of their culture. The Galactic Forces have warned The Ashtarians that this will not be permitted.
The Ashtarians' answer that they have a right to take these things to pay for the many years of service they have provided the natives who show their ungratefulness. The Galactic Forces, however, do not agree with their arguments and have told them any ships attempting to leave with the properties of the native peoples will be stopped, boarded, and the native peoples' properties will be seized. The Ashtarians are totally enraged but can do nothing.
There has also been a tragic battle on The Ashtarian Home World. Two high ranking families were angry because their neighbors refused to send their sons to the fighting. They sent in their forces to recruit them, and thousands were killed in the resulting house to house fighting that went back and forth across the family boundaries for several days until the Ashtarian leader restored order. Exact casualties were not known.
One of the things that bothers me most about this Ashtarian mess is the saying The Galactic Forces use about The Ashtarians. It goes, 'They take a lickin' but they don't keep on tickin'! It absolutely appalls me that a stupid Timex watch commercial has become part of the slang of space travellers! Is that the extent of our culture's donation to Galactic thinking?

A small Ashtarian ship has violated the Earth blockade and landed. It must have come in very slowly over a period of weeks showing very little energy. It was only detected as it was entering the Earth's atmosphere. Ships of The Galactic Forces scrambled immediately to intercept it, but were not able to reach it until after it had landed.
Three Earth vehicles had met it and its crew had scattered in these, each with two human associates. The Galactic Forces pursued, overtook them, and ordered them to surrender. The response was that the fleeing individuals opened fire on The Galactic Forces with heavy weapons. The Galactic Forces disabled the human vehicles and The Ashtarians continued to flee on foot, the humans with them. They continued to resist capture with extreme violence. The Galactic Forces could do nothing but terminate their existence. All three Ashtarians and five of the Humans were killed. One of the humans managed to escape into a populated area where The Galactic Forces could not pursue.
The disabled human vehicles were taken away so they would not arouse the interest of the local authorities. Each were found to contain sophisticated Ashtarian electronic equipment, and, six hygienically sealed containers. The license plates of the human vehicles indicated that they had come from a variety of places scattered across The United States. It is not known what this equipment was for, as it was heavily damaged, but appears to be some kind of monitoring equipment or jamming devices. The cylinders have been removed to a safe place where Galactic Specialists can examine them. It does not seem possible that The Ashtarians could continue to commit such stupid acts but they seem determined to continue to display their determination.
This operation was not without casualties toThe Galactic Forces. One of them gave his life in this operation, another is dying. I cannot say they received their wounds in an honorable manner. The Ashtarians and humans they were chasing pretended to surrender, letting their pursuers come close before they opened fire.
I send my condolences to the families who send their brave sons to protect us, and also my regrets that we fight an enemy with little or no sense of honor.

The Ashtarian government has collapsed. Its leader and so many members of the council have resigned that they no longer have a forum. The families are now scrambling to elect new councilmen so they can elect a new leader and restore a new government. But at the moment The Ashtarians have no unified government.
The smugglers that broke through to The Ashtarian Homeworld escaped by scattering in all directions while Ashtarian warships engaged the Galactic vessels. Now they continue to come and go. The supplies they are bringing in help The Ashtarians continue the war effort.
Though The Ashtarians are still NOT getting everything they need what troubles The Galactic Forces most, however, is that the smuglers are bringing in warships which are bolstering The Ashtarian Forces.

A Galactic Agent has returned to us with word on the electronic equipment captured from The Ashtarians that recently attempted landing on Earth. It seems the equipment was designed to override the programming of certain missiles in effect causing them to reverse course and go back from where they had been launched.
The equipment was too damaged to prove it positively, but The Galactic Agents believe the equipment was turned to work against American cruise type missiles.
We are still waiting for word on what was in the bio canisters...it has also beeen reported that a second Ashtarian ship was intercepted in the solar system. Its crew, however, blew it up rather than surrender.

There has been another violent confrontation on The Ashtarian Homeworld. Thousands of citizens gathered in the capital protesting the war. They carried signs with sayings like "Stop The War," "Make Peace Now," "Bring Our Children Home." They were met by thousands of government demonstrators carrying signs that read "Keep Our Traditions," "Stop The Barbarians," "Down With The Cowards." The authorities tried to keep the two groups seperate, but violent confrontations broke out in several different locations and then the whole capital turned into a battle zone, with the two sides fighting with small arms and home made clubs.
The exact number of casualties are not known, but they are believed to be in the thousands. Barely had the news of this settled than The Ashtarians announced they were withdrawing from the two worlds that first rebelled and concentrating their entire efforts to hold the third world, which is their only supply of the element that makes their faster than light propulsion systems work.
The rebels pleaded with The Galactic Forces to not let The Ashtarians take with them individuals they wanted held for crimes against humanity. The Galactic Forces agreed.
There were only four individuals the rebels were looking for, anyway, as the rest had been killed in the fighting. The Ashtarians again claimed foul but surrendered the individuals.
It is believed that because of the fighting The Ashtarians have been unable to operate some of their space fleet, as they are running low on fuel. They have had to accept more food shipments for The Galactic Forces to feed their people...a continuing source of unrest. The Ashtarians, however, HAVE managed to reform a government and for the time being are maintaining order.

I have received two reports from Galactic Command that upset me. One, another Ashtarian ship has been desteroyed trying to sneak into the solar system. Again it was a small ship.
It was blown up by its own crew rather than be captured.
Secondly my greatest fears were realized when it was reported that the bio containers retrieved from the previous ship contained Bubonic plague.
Having the same thought I did, The Galactic Forces compared it to the strains now infecting parts of India. It is the same exact strain!
I am told that such bacterial strains cannot be produced quickly, or, as much of it anyway, that the manufacture of the plague was begun some time ago, perhaps even before this current situation arose and bubonic plague would only be effective against humans. What were The Ashtarians trying to do, create an epidemic they could come and cure?

A new report has reached us on the happenings in the Galactic Community. There have been two major incidences. The Ashtarians have again managed to break through with a fleet of over one-hundred smuggler ships, and resupply the capital. Though there was a vicious three hour battle fought, no ships were lost on either side though some were severely damaged.
The second report, however, can only be called tragic. The Ashtarian Commander, resisting the third rebellion snuck in two freighters armed with long range weapons and without warning opened fire on five of the natives' biggest population centers, totally annihilating them; in essence, wiping out fifty per cent of the native population including most of their women and children He then ordered the rest to surrender or he would continue the bombardment until all their population centers were obliterated. He gave them five hours to decide.
The native leader, however, told him that they did not need five hours, that in three they would give the only answer that was now possible.
Three hours later as the natives broadcast a religious service their leader rose and cried "Blessed Mother, we commend unto you our eternal Spirits!" At that moment the planet exploded, destroying everything surrounding it. Fragments of the planet continued on to strike another nearby planet, totally devastating it, also.
Exact losses are not known. No one really wants to say, but they must be in the millions, perhaps even the billions.
The Ashtarian government has issued a statement saying the Commander was acting on his own initiative and not carrying out government policy. But all I can say is, who gives a damn?
