Word has reached us that the Ashtarian government has again collapsed.The representative of the family responsible for the recent loss of a planet and millions of lives entered The Great Hall Of Unity and announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, I can no longer live with what we have become."
He thereupon drew a pistol from beneath his coat and shot himself. The Council was thrown into turmoil. Twenty-three of the families represented went to sue for peace under the terms of The Galactic Community have offered, the rest want to fight on at any cost.
The Council has dissolved and the commanding general has declared martial law, but the twenty-three families against the war will not heed any of his orders, have ordered their stations not to service any ships of The Fleet, and have even asked ships of The Galactic Forces to protect them.
There have been several violent incidences when personnel of the Fleet refused to leave certain ooutposts, but order has again ensued.

We received word today that Ashtar Command has capitulated to The Galactic Forces accepting all their terms fully. The commanding General of The Ashtarian Forces gathered a member from each family, declared them representatives and formed a council, then told them, "It is done. We no longer have means with which to resist. Our ships are running out of fuel, three more families have joined those opposing the war. Our beloved Home World is in chaos. Ashtarian is killing Ashtarian and this must be stopped! The Galactic Forces have agreed to guard our frontiers and protect our outposts so I say bring our forces home to restore order, and that I WILL DO! They recognize me, at present, as head of government, but I do not want to make this decision myself.
We have lost not because our forces were not brave, they have served honorably and well. We have lost because one of our own destroyed our ability to resist because he took the path of Barbarianism that we so despise, and tried to enforce his will by slaughtering the innocent. That bllod will never wash from our hands.
We can never again have the pride that we once had before. We can now only honor the dead, ALL the dead, by making peace and returning to that that we truly are.....creatures of peace.
And maybe, just maybe in time when this evil generation has passed away, perhaps in time their children will regain the honor that Ashtaria once had. I will see your hands. Let all men here seated vote for peace."
Slowly every representative rose his hand, and the motion was passed unanimously. Galactic Forces are rushing in with badly needed supplies, and the fighting on Ashtaria is slowly subsiding. Five ships already converted to a new power source have refused to surrender and moved off into uncharted space. But the rest of the Ashtarian Fleet is reporting to base to be turned over to Galactic Forces.
The General has been appointed head of the Council and we certaihly wish him luck. A message has been sent out to all Ashtarian agents, that all Eagles disengage and return home, or surrender their operations to appropriae locals.

Thank you very much for including my letter in your last publication. I am writing in regard to Yvonne Col's transmission who is still representing Ashtar Command. I wish to let the public know that there will be no Ashtar Command broadcasts on Earth's television or radio stations, as no such interference will be allowed.
The change in mankind will not come from outside the Earth plane but will come from within. If the change within does not occur, mankind will not ever be welcomed into the galactic community. Others cannot solve our problems for us. We will not become a great race until we learn to solve our own problems.
I wish to warn Theodoro not to use Christ's name in his teachings, as there are those who will take great offense if a Giver Of Light's teachings are twisted, and whose wrath he would not wish to incur. I would strongly suggest that Earth's Ashtar Command workers find another vocation. Serving those who use the religious teachings of others to trick them into economic slavery is not a very wise thing to do. Sometimes the weak and the feeble minded have strong and powerful friends who do not appreciate those who try to abuse those in their charge.
I would suggest that they listen to good advice.

There has been a flurry of UFO activity in the area and my friends with The Galactic Forces were hesitant to tell me what was going on. But they finally esxplained that someone had fired a missile at us...not a very BIG missile, by their standards, it would only have made a hole in the ground 400 yards across and 200 yards deep. Of course that hole would happen to be where our apartment is. Most of the fragments landed in Newport, Maine, and some of The Galactic ships had to expose themselves in order to recover them before they did any harm to the local populace. We don't know if this weapon was fired by The Ashtarians but we most certainly hope there's no more of them around.

While I was working last night an agent of The Galactic Community contacted me telepathically from one of their ships nearby. It is hard to believe these people come half way across the galaxy for my advice.
Well, anyway, it seems some of the races that were dominated by The Ashtarians don't want the majority of them to leave, but were not sure under what conditions they should be allowed to stay.
I didn't think the problem too great and gave this solution. If The Ashtarians want to stay they must agree to intermarry with pure natives for ten generations, and in that way be absorbed into the native culture. They also should agree to abide by local laws and customs, but should be allowed to practice their own religious beliefs.
The Galactic Agent didn't quite understand what I was saying, and when I explained he asked "What about the ones that are already married?"
I said, "No problem. They can remain if their children agree to abide by the conditions set forth."
The Galactic agent said my suggestion was a fascinating one. It will be interesting to see how it is received. Yes, I asured him, it will be.

Another missile has been fired at Earth, but not at us. When it was detached it was headed for Burbank, California, but it was destroyed before it locked onto its target. So its exact destination would never be known.
Destroyed outside the atmosphere it completely burned up and therefore no operation was required to recover fragments.
The Galactic Forces are beginning a thorough search of the solar system to see if any more of these little pests are making a slow entry to avoid detection.

A courier ship has arrived with the news that one of The Ashtarian ships that disappeared after the surrender has returned. Apparently its crew realized that they would be more valuable helping their peole rebuild rather than carrying on a useless struggle. The Ashtarians are turning over large parts of their holdings to The Galactic Community as payment for their war debt. They seemed surprised that they are receiving good value for their property and their people are not being asked to leave their settlements, but are perfectly welcome to stay and share these worlds with their new neighbors. The situation on The Ashtarian Home World has settled down. The military units are again responding to the orders from Central Command, the families have stopped fighting each other, and all have returned to their own territories.
There have been many arrests as those responsible for atrocities on all sides are being gathered up. It will be some time before all those charged can be brought to trial. The Ashtarianleader has even mentioned the possibility of bringing in judges other than Ashtarians to hear the cases as there is so much bitterness among his own people.
This was a rather short war but it mahy take years to settle all its complications.

Alot has been happening with The Ashtarians. To my surprise I have been informed that all but a few dozen Ashtarians have accepted my proposal for remaining on their former subject worlds. So many Ashtarians have beeen lost, and so many are remaining on their outposts that there is a terrible labor shortage on the Homeworld.
The Ashtarians have been literally begging some of their former subjects to remain at their posts and continue working for them.
The former subjects got together and presented a list of conditions that had to be met before they would stay.
Firstly, all of them would have to now be paid at the same level Ashtarians were paid for the same work.
Secondly, all restrictions on housing had to be lifted. If they could afford a dwelling they would be allowed to rent it.
Thirdly, all segregation had to be ended. Restaurants and entertainment centers, all public transportation and public housing would have to remove their Ashtarian Only signs and their Alien Only signs.
Finally all prohibitions against interspecies marriage had to be lifted.
The Ashtarians had no choice. Their Council met in emergency session and agreed to all conditions. Even still, the Ashtarians are going to have to bring in people for The Galactic Communities just to get the basic services going again to full level. Many are still existing on relief supplies, though some food production is beginning to be restored.
Another of the Ashtarian hold out ships has been found. It was drifting in space, and at first the crew that found it thought it had merely been abandoned, as from the back and the sides it looked intact. It was only when they got around front that they discovered that the whole forward hull was gone and the entire interior of the ship was empty. It looked like something had opened it up and cleaned out everything inside, right down to the bare metal of the hull plates. Absolutely nothing was left. The Galactic Community reports that none of them have ever come across anything like this. The incident has everyone in that sector on edge.

I am writing in response to the article on Ashtar Command in your last issue, as I believe the people working for this organization should have a true conception ofwhat they are working for.
Ashtar Command is a Confederation originally comprised of forty families that took over the world Ashtaria, approximately one-thousand years ago, just as The Ashtarians were developing faster than light space travel.
There was a great argument among the noble families over who would have the rights to property found as they explored. So it was decided that the universe would be divided into forty equal sections radiating out from the Ashtarian system and, that each family would be given dominion over one of these sections by the drawing of lots and that that family would have exclusive rights to anything found in that dominion.
As far as The Ashtarians are concerned, they own the entire universe! They believe that the head of each family is a Divine Being descended from what they call, The Divine One. That it is not only their RIGHT to rule the universe, but their DUTY.
Ashtarians do not like direct conquest. They prefer to conquer by pretending to be dieties selecting and training a few natives of the worlds they wish to subject and then gaining control of the worlds by giving the natives technology they quickly become dependent upon, but which they cannot produce themselves, or repair. In exchange for more equipment and repair services The Ashtarians slowly take over economic control of the planet.
The Ashtarians often use the names of local dieties and pretend to be the fulfillment of local prophecies. The Ashtarians originally reached Earth in 1947 bu did not make contact until 1952.
The family in whose dominion Earth lies, is Vegan. In essence, though they are sincere, the Ashtarians are intergalactic con men, rip off artists, though they can be dangerous. On two occasions ;when their usual tricks failed they resorted to open military conquest. Unfortunately for The Ashtarians but fortunately for developing worlds twenty-six years ago The Ashtarians began to make contact with races that belonged to a Galactic Society that was powerful enough to stop their practices.
Most of The Ashtarian families have decided to cooperate with The Galactic Community, and withdraw from the worlds they were beginning to influence. But two or three have continued to try to dominate developing planets.
There has been one other major confrontation about twenty years ago, where The Ashtarians were forced to leave a planet alone. But now Earth is caught between these two major forces as The Ashtarians are using our world to test the resolve of The Galactic Community. The test has drastically backfired, and the situation continues to deteriorate at an alarming rate.
We will continue to keep people advised on what is happening through our own publication.
I should perhaps mention that over the decades the major families have been forced to sell some of their universal properties to other families to avoid financial collapse and at present the Ashtarian High Council consists of representatives from sixty families.

It is with the deepest regret and the most profound horror that I must inform you that The Ashtarian Capital has been totally devastated. Apparently a madman, enraged because his daughter had announced she was going to marry an alien, rigged the city's three major power plants so they would explode virtually simultaneously. He also disabled the warning systems so no one was even aware the blasts were coming.
The resulting explosions were so powerful they detonated defense weapons scattered about the city adding to the fury of the blast.
The stunned Ashtarians were slow to react but fortunate two Galactic ships were in orbit and they quickly descended into the atmosphere, sucked up the radioactive debris in their tractor beams, and hauled it off to dump it into the sun, avoiding further catastrophies, had this lethal material settled back to the ground.
The death toll is in the millions and hundreds of thousands are dying. All that can be done for them is to lessen their pain or release them from it.
The entire Ashtarian government has been wiped out when it was jujst beginning to pull their people back together. All the beauty of a great city has been destroyed, its artworks, its historical structures, all the records going back thousands of years....all gone.
This city was considered one of the most beautiful of the many beautiful cities in the galaxy, even The Ashtarians' most sacred Temple, The Sleeping Place Of The Divine One, was heavily damaged. The Ashtarians' High Priest came unto its steps, gave a speech cursing The Dark One and begging The Divine One to destroy him, then returned to his room to die. His windows faced the city and he had received a lethal dose of radiation from the blast.
This is the sadness of those that teach racism. This is why it should never be taught. You never know, you CAN never know when its ugliness will come back to hunt you.

The latest news is one of The Ashtarian holdouts appeared at a small outpost of The Galactic Community and asked to tie into their long range communication system and send some messages back to their home world. The outpost graciously agreed and also offered The Ashtarians hospitality. The Ashtarians declined, sent their messages, most of which were addressed to residences in the Captial that no longer exists, then turned and proceeded out of system.
A while later they were picked up heading back in system at their maximum velocity. They appeared to be looping around the sun to pick up speed. Suddenly without warning, they veered off course and plunged right into the center of the outpost, instantly vaporizing ship and outpost, and nearly destroying the freighters in orbit.both of which survived, however, to give an account of the incident.
The race that manned the outpost is asking "Why? Why? OUr people showed The Ashtarians hospitality. They let them use their facilities. They offered them food, shelter and medical care. Why? Why did The Ashtarians repay their kindness with death?"
What do we tell them? What excuse do we give to them? I have none. I can't understand such an act. I cannot in any way condone it. Can anybody else?
