JUNE 2

Our 23 Wedding Anniversary

The things the Ashtarians do totally perplex me! Since the collapse of their forces a Galactic ship has been guarding one of their colonies. A few days ago two Ashtarian vessels appeared in the system and proceeded to attack it. The confrontation lasted for several hours until the Ashtarians finally backed off and lowered their shields. The Commander of The Galactic ship asked his counterparts why they had attacked him. Their answer was "We can't attack the one we want to, and you were handy."
The Commander of The Galactic ship seemed to understand this twisted reasoning but I find it totally bewildering. The senior officers of both Ashtarian ships have been removed and await disciplinary action but as little damage was done and no lives were lost, The Galactic Forces are asking that the punishment be minor.
It is also reported that yesterday an Ashtarian ship again tried to penetrate the blockade of the solar system. Fortunately, when it was detected it turned away and fled. Perhaps a promising sign!

JUNE 23

A bit of good and bad news from Ashtar Command. First the good news!
The Ashtarians have announced that The Intergalactic Committee For The Restoration Of Historical Sites has agreed to pay 85% of the cost to rebuild their former capital. All information the Ashtarians can gather is being sent to the Committee's special computer that is programmed especially to plan such projects.
Blueprints for the preliminary foundation work have already been prepared and crews have already begun work. though most of the labor will be provided free by Ashtarians the costof the project will be phenomenal! The Ashtarians have decided to keep the space station being used as a temporary capital, as an auxillary capital, so space travelers who do not need to, or, do not want to go down to the capital, itself, can fulfill their needs there.
As the attackers came from many different families, no one family was blamed for the incident and no extra disciplinary action taken.
A side note...at its regular meeting The Galactic Council has issued a decree outlawing pro fusion reactors of the type that were sabotaged and destroyed the Ashtarian Capital. After two such mishaps the Council has determined that these reactors are just too dangerous to be used in populated areas. They are to be replaced with less powerful null fusion reactors that can melt down but cannot explode with the devastating forces of their more powerful counterparts.
Several races have offered to assist races using these reactors to make the necessary conversions.
It is good to see that there are civilizations that can recognize such dangers, take action when necessary, and work together to eliminate the problem!

ASHTARIAN SORROW CONTINUES
JULY 3

Word has reached us that two Ashtarians tried to assassinate the leader of one of the worlds in The Galactic Community. Fortunately no life was lost, though there were several injuries. Apparently some of this leader's people wanted to take a softer line with the Ashtarians and their leader refused. Now, the majority of her population want to make all out war on the Ashtarians. But their leader is saying it was an isolated incident, and the rest of the Ashtarians should not be punished for the actions of a couple of fanatics. Otherwise than this, all has been quiet on the Ashtarian front. Except for a few dozen people committing suicide on one of their colonies, but this seems to have been because of a domestic problem, and had nothing to do with the current hostilities.

AUGUST 9

We have received word that the Ashtarians have managed to get some Earth people, at least humans. the Galactic Community has decided to shut down its native agent operation on Earth because they now obtain all the information they need from other sources, making the program redundant, and the funds spent on it can be used for other purposes.
This left thousands of human descendants living on other worlds with no work.
One of the Ashtarian families offered to hire them all, and the offer was accepted. The humans are now in transport to the Ashtarian home world, and will help replace some of its devastated population. I don't think this is a very bad idea at all, as the humans could never return to Earth, and Ashtaria is much Earth like, it is a very good alternative.

AUGUST 28

A report has reached me today that the Ashtarians have virtually exterminated one of their criminal organizations about the equivalent of Earth's Mafia. For months their security Agents have been infiltrating its operations with the aide of some information we discovered on the planned invasion of Earth.
Simultaneously, a few days ago, Ashtarian security forces, with the assistance of Galactic Forces, raided the headquarters of this criminal family.
The defenders resisted to the death, and virtually all the males were killed, including the head of the Family.
Smaller installations were also raided at the same time. Billions of dollars in stolen goods, illegally manufactured goods, and illegal drugs were seized. Many of the illegal substances will now be sold for legal commercial purposes.
The illegal drug trade was so severely interrupted to one world, that over a fourth of its population had to go to medical facillities for assistance, which showed how desperate they were, because these people deal very harshly with drug addicts.
This incident goes to show that even in the worst of circumstances some good can come of it.
It will be many, many years before any criminal group can attain the power this one had among the Ashtarian people, perhaps no group ever will again. We can only pray this is so.
