39 The third took her, also, in like manner, until all seven had had her and died childless.
40 Last of all, the woman died. Therefore, in the resurrection whose wife would she be of the seven?"
41 Jesus answered them, saying, "The one that loves her mostly and the one SHE loves best.
42 That one would be her husband. For they which are of the resurrection are not bound by the jealousies and hatreds of this life.
43 Some will stay with those they love forever. Others will find new companions and there would not be anger or discourse among any. For they would be equal unto the angels, children of God, pure and blameless.
44 Moses and Abraham understood that the dead rise not in flesh like unto these bodies, but in the pure essence of God.
45 Abraham is now like God, Isaac, and, Jacob. All are pure and good. For God is not a God of the Dead, but of the living. In His presence all the foolishness, all the pettiness of man is not."
46 When the apostles heard these things they were troubled, for they had been taught that in the resurrection men and women would have no desiring for each other, and they could not understand why Jesus said now they would desire each other's company. In their hearts they put their desires in His mouth, for many years they would sorrow that they had done so.
47 Then certain of the Scribes answered Him, saying, "Rabbi, you have said." After that they dared not ask Him any question at all.
48 He said unto them, "How say them that Christ is David's son, when David, himself, said in The Book Of Psalms 'The Father said unto my Lord, sit you down at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstools.'
49 David, therefore, called Him Lord. How is he then His son?"
50 Then in the absence of all the people He said to His apostles, "Beware of the Scribes who desire to walk in long robes, seek loving greetings in the market, the highest seats in the synagogue, and the chief rooms at the feasts, which devour widows' houses and for a penny makes long prayers. The same shall receive greater damnation."

JERUSALEM IS DOOMED
Chapter Fifty-Seven

He spoke to them another parable.
2 "The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a certain king who made a marriage for his son and sent forth his servants to call them that were invited to the wedding. And they would not come.
3 Again the noble sent forth his servant, saying, 'Tell them that were invited behold, I have prepared a great feast. My oxen and my sheep have been slaughtered. All things are ready for you. Come to the marriage.'
4 But those invited made excuses that they had much to do and could not come. They beat the servant because his constant calls annoyed them. But then when he called still, they killed him.
5 When the king heard of this evil his wrath was great. He sent forth his armies, destroyed the murderers and burned their city.
6 Then, he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those that were invited were not worthy. Go you, therefore, to the four winds and as many as you will find that will come, bring to the marriage. My son must be honored.'
7 So the servants went out, gathered up all that they could find, good, and, bad, bathed them, dressed them in fine garments befitting their host's house, and brought them in to the wedding. But when the king came in he saw this one man still in rags and still dirty. For he would not cast off his old raiment or, his filth.
8 The king said to him, 'How is it you were invited to the wedding but would not cast off your old garments and be washed?'
9 The man answered, 'I am content the way I am. Let me be what I want to be.'
10 The king told his servants, 'This man is unfit to be in my house. Take him and cast him out into the darkness. Let him there weep and grind his teeth seeing the joy of his brethren and sisters in The Light.
11 Many are called but few are chosen. Many are blessed but fewer still enter in.'"
12 When the Pharisees, the Scribes and the priests heard these things they were getting angry, for they knew the invited guests were Israel and the man cast out was themselves. They would have laid hands on Him but they feared the crowd.
13 Jesus went up into the temple. He saw a rich man coming forth to give his gift to the treasury....a bag of much gold and silver.
14 He saw also, a poor widow casting in but two pennies. He said, "Truly I say to you, that this poor widow has cast in more than all the rich. For all they have cast in is from their abundance and hurts them nothing to give an offering to God. But she, in her great poverty, casts in the living that she has. Her gift is greater than all of these."
15 Then, looking about, a tear ran down His cheek. "They give their great gifts," he muttered, "they build with goodly stone and adorn brightly, but sadly that which you behold in the days to come, will be laid waste. There shall not be one stone left upon another. All shall be thrown down."
16 All there cried, "Master! Master! When shall these things be? What signs will there be when these things shall come to pass?"
