For this you will need an additional piece of equipment, either a bell or a chime. An inexpensive one for this process may be made from a piece of pipe about six inches long, and at least three to four inches across. Drill two holes near the top of the pipe and attach a string to it so it will hang freely. When struck with a metal rod it should make a good ringing sound. Of course you can also buy a bell or simple gong. Any of these will work just as well.
Begin at the bottom of the house, and working upward, place a white candle in each room but do not light them. Close all windows and open all internal doors. If there are furnishings in the rooms, be sure all drawers are pulled open and all doors are opened. If there is an attic in the house, be sure to cover this room, also.
Beginning in the highest room, ring your bell three times, light the candle, and repeat the Spell Of Protection three times, adding on the end,
"and send the evil forth from this residence."
Continue to the next lowest room and repeat the process until you reach the front door. Open the door and repeat this prayer.
"By The Power Of The Lords, evil thing, go forth from this place and return again nevermore!"
Then, the door may be shut.
Let all the candles burn to extinction (simple birthday candles may be used for this process but they must be white). After this, all drawers and internal doors may be shut.
