The Use Of The Message Board (Ouija Board)
In the early part of this century, a well meaning but
misguided member of The Spiritualism Movement developed a message
board and pointer that was taken by another and made into a very
popular game. This was one of the most drastic errors ever
committed, for a means of communication was thrown out to the
general public with no instructions on how to use it properly, or
no warnings in its danger. The highly developed Sensitive does
not need a message board to do their work and would not use it
anyway because it draws lowly-developed Spirits very easily, but
if you must use a message board, it is an absolute priority that
you follow these instructions. You are not dealing with a toy or
game. You are dealing with a religious phenomena and
extraordinary powers. Treat them with respect and dignity.
Before attempting any message, follow the same instructions for
the beginning of a seance, even to hymns and prayers if you like,
and when you are done, end with the prayer of thanks. Take the
message board very seriously. Many of those who did not, paid a
very high price. And, too, when working with the message board,
never work with two members of the same sex touching the pointer
at the same time. A member of the same sex may sit opposite the
operator but must not touch the pointer.
