96 Morn saluted. "You make yourself VERY clear, my Lord," he said. "My
apologies for disturbing you."
97 The Lord God smiled. "Whatever action you take, Morn," he continued,
"I will back you without question. Do what you must do."
98 Again Morn saluted. "Yes, my Lord," he snapped. He signed
off, went back into the livingroom, and put the chip back in the
viewer. It took all his strength to watch it all the way through, but
he did. When he was done he took the chip out and held it between his
hands, then slipped it into his pocket. He stepped outside the
apartment door where his Aide was waiting. "Send a Soldier to
each of these men's apartments. Have them get a pillowcase and bring it
up to the roof."
99 "Oh, my God!" gasped one of the Soldiers in the hall, "He's going to
burn them!"
100 One of the women who had been sitting in the livingroom all the
time Morn had been playing the recording suddenly jumped to her feet
and rushed towards Morn. "NO!" she cried, "No! In the name of God, sir,
please, no!"
101 The Soldiers caught her and dragged her back, her hand reaching out
for Morn as they did so. Morn turned around and walked off, ignoring
the woman as she fell to her knees and began to sob.
102 By the time Morn reached the rooftop it was full of soldiers. North
was already there. Along a section of the railing the forty men had
been secured. The effect of the drug was beginning to wear off, and
they all were beginning to realize the position they were in.
