Oh boy! Here we go again! In the news there's
a report that a young man attending Bob Jones University, a Baptist
college was kicked out for watching an episode of "Glee" on his
computer while off campus at Starbucks. There are certain t.v.
shows students aren't allowed to watch because the school feels they
are not compatible with their beliefs. I personally think
this is a little to harsh, however, rules are rules and it's up to them
who stays and who goes. The students need to be more careful from
now on. I can certainly understand why that series is
banned. It is positive toward homosexuality and lesbianism, and
the characters often discuss teen sexuality it is reported. I
have never watched and never will though before I knew about
this part of it I was sorely tempted because of the singing. Oh
well. I'll stick with The Amazing Race" "Storage Wars," and
"NCIS Los Angeles."
If anyone wants some other decent shows to watch on
t.v. I also highly recommend the ones featured on The Weather
Channel. I'm not ashamed to admit it, I have 200 digital t.v.
channels however The Weather Channel is the one most on at my
apartment. Way to go people! Keep up the good work.
Former Secretary Of State Madeline Albright,
who's 75th birthday is next month has written a book about her amazing
family. It wasn't until she was 59 she found out she was born of
Jewish parents! She's learned more than a dozen family members
died in the Holocaust, this includes three grandparents who were in
concentration camps. Her father is a former Czech diplomat, and
her mother never told her what she considered a family secret.
She has published a book about these things and much more called "Prague Winter: A Personal Story of Remembrance and War, 1937-1948,"
which she didn't have a chance to do while secretary of state.
She was raised Catholic and is now Episcopalian. She sounds like
a very interesting person, though a Democrat who I doubt would share
very many of our views on the issues, however if I had time I would
definitely read this book! It sounds like a fitting tribute to
her ancestors.
What the hell? A Mexican woman Karla
Vanessa Perez is reportedly pregnant with nine babies, six girls and
three boys after having fertility treatment. They are due on May
20th. If everything goes well, this will be one of the
largest multiple births ever recorded! The babies are called
nonuplets. Move over Octomom! Looks like you're not going
to be so popular any more. The only other thing I can say
is ow! I wonder if she'll have them naturally or by cesearian? I will have to keep track of this one and see how
things turn out.
Here we go again with the Fox News reporters Now Fox
News host Greta Van Susteren gave Meghan McCain the brush off when she
criticized her for inviting Kim Kardashian to The White House 2012
Correspondents' Dinner as her guest when she couldn't stand comedian
Louis C.K. who was supposed to host an event earlier this year. The
event was The Radio and Television Correspondents Association Dinner
which she planned to boycott and encouraged her colleagues to do so,
because the comedian had picked on Sarah Palin's disabled child who
can't fight back. She stated the comment the comedian had made
with a bad word bleeped out, and it was definitely not
acceptable. Especially in mixed company. Anyway the
comedian decided not to be the host after he learned Greta planned the
boycott of the event. Looks like she did the right thing by not
being bothered by Meghan McCain's comments, and by taking a stand
against the too outspoken comedian! This shows more reasons
why the ladies of Fox News are some of God's favorite reporters!
