I've read an article which states the late actor
Patrick Swayze's wife has made a difficult decision. She has
decided to add his last name to her name, however also to remove her
wedding ring. Now, I would never have thought of things in this
way but her opinion is that wearing the ring is a lie, it's saying
she's married to his physical form, and she's not. In her new
book about her life with Patrick called "Worth Fighting For: Love, Loss
and Moving Forward", Lisa Niemi Swayze says she went to a psychic with
her husband after he had quit drinking and they were no longer
separated because of that, who told them they had to stop it, I assume
meaning their negative behaviors. After this things started to
greatly improve, they were ready to work on their life together
again. I'm sure Patrick Swayze is very proud of his wife for
their 34 year marriage, that she is still doing well and making such
brave decisions. After all she is correct. The wedding ring
is just a material thing. However I wouldn't have removed mine in
that situation. I think it's a tribute to their devotion to each
other rather he's in this world or the next.
Shockingly enough here's something I agree with Mrs.
Obama on! She has gotten a new commitment from medical schools to
boost training and research for the treatment of veterans with
post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental health injuries.
We need to have this and more programs that will help our wounded
warriors who are willing to give their all for us. Hopefully they
will have enough funding is this horrible economy.
Speaking of Mrs. Obama, she says she's getting tired
of people saying in books she's an angry black woman, a
stereotype. I'm not exactly sure what to say on this. Yes,
the negative stereotype thing is bad, but maybe it should be telling
her something. People want someone who appears as a kinder,
gentler First Lady, like Laura Bush for example. Take it easy out
there! Maybe you're trying too hard to get people to like
you. However, I think this is a common thing with
Democrats. They do have to try harder, a lot harder!
The case of the so-called man who is on trial for
murdering women which most likely includes Natalee Holloway, continues
to infuriate me! His defense attorney says his client was in a
fragile mental state from being labeled a killer by the international
press. I say ain't that too bad if he was. This is
supposedly why he murdered a woman in Peru. No! No! No!
Guilty! Guilty! Guilty! I think he needs the death penalty
like yesterday!
Here's another case I find shocking and
unbelievable. In Iowa a woman had twin baby girls, went back to
work not saying anything about them. The next thing they're found
in the trunk of her car murdered! They were possibly there for
several days. She is of course the prime suspect. How can
anybody harm a baby? This person should be tried, if, or should I
say when she's found guilty punished and given the death penalty.
I can't imagine, someone must be crazy or possessed to do such a
thing. I will be interested in keeping track of what happens with
this case. I'm sure when the day comes and she dies, she won't
even get to The Afterlife, poof! I wouldn't be
surprised to learn that this woman is one of those who is like the
walking dead, whose soul has been destroyed forever to begin with. All
I continue to say is we need true justice in America, and, swift
justice!
I wish there were more positive things for me to write
about today. I hope you're liking my letters so far, and that I'm
getting better at it! Until tomorrow's update.
