Back with a quick update on Speaker Gerald Polley's medical
condition. I was shocked to learn today that he has opted out of
the chemotherapy treatments. The doctors thought that they were
doing him more harm than good and asked him if he wanted to continue
them. Nobody told me this until this afternoon. I was
calling the doctor's office to see if they'd rescheduled his
appointment. This is why they didn't. I'm trying to get the
information from the doctor's offices straight. They have
permission to tell me these things however they haven't been contacting
me.
Gerald is getting hospice care
now. He can stay in the Rehab Center even though he's not having
the treatments. Before they said he couldn't. He was scared about
no place to stay.
He may surprise us all and be
around for another year. I guess nobody will know if the
chemotherapy treatments he did have worked and it stopped the cancer
from spreading. The nurse is finding out if he will have a scan.
I have spoken with the Center about arrangements for when he does
journey to The Afterlife. I mentioned these plans to him and he
said I did the right thing. So now like they say one day at a
time. We have to wait and see what will happen. Whatever,
he's still fighting now. We can just pray he does a little better
with the medications. As we have said before for now, the
campaign continues.
I see The Supreme Court has
voted to keep Obama Care. The world goes deeper and deeper into
the Darkness. I pray that Gerald will be able to keep getting the
special care he needs. People like us can't afford health
insurance. Without Medicare and MaineCare he wouldn't get
any health care. Something has to be done!! Thank you for
all your thoughts and prayers. I'm trying to keep going, though
it's difficult in times like these. I won't give up to the
Darkness! Who knows what next besides God and I haven't
heard from Him recently. He's busy out there fighting the
Darkness like the rest of us in His own way.
