Greetings!
Back here in time before the end of the month for another report on what’s going on out there. I guess a few of the main stories are these. The most important one is the US Government has been shut down for more than 25 days! For the first time that I can remember next month no food stamps will be given out until the government opens up again. They’re telling everyone if they need to use the food pantries. Fortunately I have half of what I got this month and some left over from September to last me quite some time. Hopefully it will be long enough. However they’re telling us that our social security income will be safe and on schedule next month.
I’m glad to see that Gaza is keeping its word and the remaining Israeli hostages are free and the remains of those who didn’t survive are being returned as promised. Prayers to their families and the victims that justice has been done on their behalf.
Interesting that President Trump had one of the Civil War’s Confederate General’s statues put back up recently that was torn down in 2020. He wants to keep history being told the right way. That’s the way it should be. Now some people say the statues should be erected in museums and leave the open outside areas for the heroes of the winning side. Perhaps they’re right, but it just seems like no one is ever satisfied.
I was shocked last night to read on the internet that President Trump has ordered the military to go ahead with the testing of nuclear weapons for the United States. Why? He says because all the other countries that have them are doing it! I guess it’s called the old “Keeping up with the Joneses” reasoning. Very scary I must say to have this thing going on. Like I can’t help wonder where are they doing this? What if something goes wrong and it causes grave danger to the people of The United States? Maybe that’s what our enemies are hoping for and that we’ll be destroyed. You can’t trust almost anything nowadays! Let’s hope they’re extra careful with these materials and things keep going the way they’re supposed to in this risky endeavor.
Yes it’s Halloween again! Originally the Spiritists’ Thanksgiving to celebrate when they landed on Earth ages ago and made friends with the locals. Everyone forgets that originally kids dressing up in scary costumes at this time of year was very important as they as the story goes, were meant to scare away the demons from Those in their areas. How times have changed!
More terrifying huge storms in the Atlantic! Category 5! This one is so strong the Storm Trackers’ plane couldn’t go through to investigate! Now that’s scary! Stay safe and well everybody.
There has been more flooding in New York City. Two people are dead from this and even the subways are flooded.
On the home front I’m attending a residents’ Halloween/Birthday for the month of October Halloween night. I’m wearing a new black Hocus Pocus movie t shirt with a picture of the main characters on it, dark pants, my little sparkly purple witch hat, and I have my official ‘wand’ from the Harry Potter movies though I don’t remember whose wand it was supposed to be. It’s the one with the crystal handle anyway. Should prove to be a wonderful, fun event!
