Phew! Back at last! What a weekend. Had a computer problem that wouldn’t quit until finally I did system restore for the third time! That worked and with help from the HP techs over the phone everything’s back to normal again. Like my late husband Gerald used to say “You gotta love technology….when it works!” Also kudos to them for reminding me of the extra Norton’s anti virus I’d bought for Gerald’s new notebook pc. I called and was able to get the extra account time added to mine which is awesome! I don’t know what I’d do without Norton’s Internet Security and will always recommend their products. Now, what’s going on in the world?
More scary stuff going on, this time in Chicago where an 18 year old American man was planning to blow up a bar. FBI agents arrested him Friday, after an undercover agent pretended to be a terrorist and sold him a fake car bomb then watched him pull the trigger. He remains in custody under the charges of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and attempting to damage and destroy a building with an explosive. The FBI started monitoring him when he opened an email account which he used to get and distribute material about violent jihad in The United States and abroad, and killing Americans. After some diligent work over the summer the FBI agents who got the help of a third who pretended to be a terrorist they accomplished their goal of stopping any violence from being accomplished by this person. Hopefully he will be prevented from trying to do anything like this ever again. Very upsetting that such things are going on near my friends who host The Black Knight And Squire G Show. Though they live near Chicago now, it’s still too close for comfort.
I see the family of the filmmaker who made the movie that is enraging it seems like the entire Islamic world is having to go into hiding to be protected from harm.
A thirteen year old boy in Florida is getting tried as an adult and may get twenty five years or so in prison for killing his two year old brother and sexually molesting his other brother! I’m glad authorities are doing something about this and not just saying he’s a just a kid and overlooking the crimes. From what I read he’s had a very hard life, but that’s no excuse. Something needs to be done!
Wow! The U.S. Centers For Disease Control And Prevention are getting ready for the Zombie Apocalypse! Gun owners have done this, and the military and law enforcements. The HALO Corp., is having an annual counter terrorism summit, where visitors will learn how to handle a zombie like virus outbreak, with a pandemic where people become crazy, violent and fearful. The term “zombie apocalypse” is so popular that even The Department Of Homeland Security reported that “the zombies are coming” to get ready for a real disaster. The CDC have also reminded people that zombies are not real. I hate to tell them, but they’re wrong. Do they actually know something they’re not admitting to the public?
Oh boy, Newsweek is in trouble now over it’s cover entitled “Muslim Rage” which shows very angry Muslim men with beards of course wearing Middle Eastern clothing. The Daily Telegraph has commented that it is “a sickening piece of shock journalism which cheapens a once great magazine.” They also compare it to the anti Muslim film that’s caused all the trouble. Newsweek asks people to discuss this matter on Twitter using the hashtag #MuslimRage. Many people have done so. Things don’t look good for them now!
It’s hard to believe that it’s already the one year anniversary of Occupy Wall Street! They have been holding protests for several days to commemorate this and the police have all been busy arresting people attending these. They’ve arrested photographers and a journalist. Some are saying they’re very concerned how the police both officers and command staff, are treating the protesters, who are exercising their First Amendment Rights. I agree!
