I just want to add here, I felt very bad last weekend. I had to block someone I thought was a friend out of my Twitter account because she was very negative, argued with almost everything I said just to make me mad then told me blocking her wasn’t the answer. I especially got fed up when she started sending my friends her negative tweets directed at me. That was the last straw and I booted her out. However I want to thank her again for making me aware of the books I mentioned in my message the other day. I’ll kind of miss her. We had several interests in common. Usually she was all right to chat with, just once and a while got in these moods. It’s too bad there’s so many people like this out there. This is like our former friend Kathy used to do except by email. I gave this girl a chance, that’s all I can say. I hope she’ll keep reading my blog.
Thank God The Catholics finally have a new Pope! He seems like a good one. Well I’m sure God had nothing to do with it considering His stand against The Catholic Church. I was a bit disappointed that Dolan didn’t get elected. I was very impressed however, with him choosing not to wear the ornate cross Popes usually wear but a simpler one of his own, him asking the crowd to pray for God to bless him and guide him to help the people, and that he wanted to pay for his hotel room where he stayed while waiting for the election to be over. However I also heard of the story that he’s accused of kidnapping to priests or something years ago? What’s up with that? Anyway, I’m glad the election is over. Oh I thought the seagull sitting on the chimney was awesome and kind of predicted Pope Francis would be chosen because St. Francis was usually pictured with a bird. I just pray he can actually help The Church. And more power to him for his stand against same sex marriages!
Sometimes when I turn on the computer I wonder why I bother! It seems like the world is going to hell in a handbasket as they used to say. In North Dakota of all places the State Senate has passed two anti abortion bills that are the first laws of their kind in The United States. These would ban most abortions in this state. The first prevents women from having an abortion as soon as a fetus is found to have a heartbeat. This law is even stricter than the one in Arkansas which is a 12 week abortion ban. The other anti abortion law The Senate passed a bill that bans abortions performed on gender selection or genetic defect. This means it’s the only state that will prevent an abortion concerning a fetus that is diagnosed with Down Syndrome or another such problem. ARGH! Why are there such morons in the world? I’m sure they think they mean well, but it’s NOT the way to do things and God says so. It figures North Dakota would do this after what happened to Gerald and I there! This is a huge blow to women’s’ rights! Something needs to be done! You’ve gotta think twice people! Think of the children.
Former Florida governor Jeb Bush is telling The Republican Party they should stop being against everything. They should “learn from past mistakes.” He also said they need to be more diverse, welcoming and understanding to minorities and low income Americans. It sounds to me like he’s telling them not to be anti gay. I agree on the low income Americans and actual minorities. Why the other subject? Why are people focusing on the wrong topics?
Now even singer Elton John is under the weather, so to speak, and has had to cancel his concert last Friday night in Birmingham, Alabama. Hopefully there’s nothing seriously wrong. Even though he’s openly gay God and many in The Afterlife really enjoy his music. So do I.
I heard about this story on KROQ’s The Kevin & Bean Show a while back. A five year old female giant panda Ke Lin at The Chengdu Research Base For Panda Breeding kept rejecting the male panda when he tried to mate with her. Giant Panda’s mating cycle only lasts three days a year. As a last resort researchers decided to show the female “Panda Porn”, which is merely a video of giant pandas mating in the wild. It’s the first time they’d ever done this. She became fascinated by it and finally allowed the male, Yong Yong, to mate with her. Amazing! They say these pandas lose interest in sex once they are domesticated. I’m so glad this will help. These wonderful creatures must not be allowed to become extinct.
On a personal note, I finally got my prescription for reading glasses. I also got a nice warm free winter jacket with the voucher the fantastic lady at prescription assistance sent me. It’s black, not purple, but it will most certainly work unitl I lose weight and can get another purple one. Speaking of losing weight my doctor was very pleased with me I’ve lost two pounds and have been trying to walk every day. She’s also glad I’m cutting down on my food portions. I was shocked at how much a cup of food is! One serving is just enough for me! Oh, and my impetigo is all gone too! Better get going and take my walk. See you next time! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
