Thawing out enough to work on today’s message. I’m so thankful I have a nice warm place to live and those words are just a figure of speech. It’s been very cold outside! Now, on to what everybody’s talking about out there.
Well, we’re stuck with the Obama administration for another four years. Oh well, it’s better than the alternative. God had to get his competition out of the picture even if we had to live with this. All we can do is make the best of it and do our best to make things better for the people within legal means.
I was wondering how Obama and his family can even feel comfortable and relaxed in a church, as they went for the service first thing on Inauguration Day. Then I read it was St. John’s Episcopal Church. That explains it! One that has fallen out of favor with God. No Angels there, whatsoever.
Things are getting really scary when I have to agree with Bill Clinton! He had a warning concerning Obama’s gun control proposals. He said “”Do not patronize the passionate supporters of your opponents by looking down your nose at them,” according to Politico magazine. Obama’s plan includes criminal background checks before gun sales, an assault weapons ban, and a ten round limit on ammunition magazines. Earlier in the year he advised Obama not to bother with gun control legislation for cultural reasons. Well, he tried. Obama ignores most peoples’ advice. He wants things his own way and that’s it. Let’s see how effective it all turns out to be. Like Gerald was fond of saying “If guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.”
It makes me so mad to read about the acid attack on Serge Filin, the artistic director of The Bolshoi Ballet in Russia. Someone wearing a hood or scarf over their face so that only their eyes were showing confronted him on his way home in Moscow last week and threw acid in his face. He has third degree burns and has had eye surgery. His vision may be permanently impaired. Thursday before the attack he told someone he had a feeling he was on the front line. He knew that someone was threating him and maybe trying to undermine his position. He has been targeted by hackers and the tires of his car were slashed. He is only 42 years old. The director of the ballet company says the attack was definitely related to Filin’s job. It is well known there has been much intrigue and infighting concerning the company over the last few years that have caused many artistic directors to resign. They have some video of the attack on security cameras, I guess, and will be carefully examining it for clues. I pray this man will recover and will still be able to see. No one, I mean no one deserves this! Prayers to him and all the members of The Bolshoi Ballet company.
The Algerian hostage situation got worse. Several of the hostages killed which included 7 Japanese citizens, three are missing. Well, we know what’s going to happen to these Al Quaida buddies when they die. I see also The Taliban have launched an attack on a police complex in Kabul.
So disgusted with the report of Obama’s inauguration day speech. Gerald was right about him doing everything he can to promote his gay agenda. He even mentioned that in there. When will people learn homosexuality is not a race or religion. It’s a mental illness and these people already have rights like everyone else. They just want special privileges. In most places they just can’t get married and that’s as it should be. I personally didn’t watch any of the festivities except what will be shown on the national news about them. Why should I praise someone who is trying their hardest to destroy this country? Everyone is having a fit about the lady who gave the inaugural prayer saying Obama is the 45th president when he’s actually the 44th. Big whoop! He’s actually the 43rd president because Grover Cleveland was both the 22nd and the 24th president. So blah!
More disgusting news. Daniel Radcliffe who played Harry Potter is now in a movie which was shown recently at the Sundance film festival called “Kill Your Darlings” based on a true story from 1944. According to the Moviefone web site, Radcliffe’s character takes drugs, masturbates on camera, and has sex with an older man he picks up at a bar. Daniel says the scene was filmed so quickly he didn’t even think about it. I understand that this is just a character in a movie he’s playing, but you’d think he’d have better sense than do something like this considering all his younger fans who want to see everything he does. They say he did a great job however and expect him to be around in films for a long time.
Last but not least for today Kate Middleton is undergoing hypnotherapy to regain her appetite for healthy food because with her morning sickness she tends to look at food and become nauseous. According to a friend it’s going very well!
