Back again after another winter storm. Something scary happened here. Because of my eye situation and having to wear glasses which are not quite right for me, I misread the directions on a Stouffer’s chicken pie for the microwave. Needless to say I burned it to a crisp literally, and didn’t do my microwave much good besides. I had to get another one. Just when you think the bills are almost paid off something else comes up to make more. Anyway I was shocked when I tried to move the old microwave! What a mess it was! Now the place smells like smoke. I opened the windows for a while. Surprised the smoke alarm didn’t go off. Glad I’m still here to tell you about it. But it’s like losing an old friend. Gerald bought that one back in Fargo, North Dakota at the Sears store in 1999! Hope this new GE model which is awesome and so light, lasts as long, if not longer. I promise to be more careful from now on!
Well, Yoko Ono’s birthday has come and gone again. She’s now 80. I still cringe to think about what might happen when she gets to The Afterlife. Anyway I guess she had a good day. Like I say she is doing some good things for the world, like her latest campaign to stop fracking in New York along with her son Sean Lennon. I hope it works.
Speaking of Beatles related subjects, I see Tony Sheridan has died at age 72 in Hamburg, Germany. He was a singer and at one time fronted The Beatles. He wasn’t with them for long but his involvement was very important to their success. He even helped arrange Ringo Starr’s first performances with The Beatles! Condolences to his friends and family. I hope he’s gotten together with John Lennon and George Harrison over There to do a few songs and talk about the old days.
Things have to be pretty bad in solitary confinement when the terrorist who planned the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center is suing to get out! He’s serving a life sentence plus 240 years. I can’t even imagine what it’s like being in a 7 X 11 foot cell almost 24 hours a day for 15 years is like. I never want to know. The article I read says that he’s spent this amount of time there with limited contact with guards and inmates allegedly caused him psychological harm. I should think so! He definitely deserved it, but whatever we’ll have to wait and see what happens. At least he won’t be getting out of jail!

Interesting news that Michael Jackson’s 16 year old son Prince will be a special correspondent on Entertainment Tonight. He says he’d love to “follow in his father’s footsteps and get to be well-rounded as a producer, director, screenwriter and actor.” He says he attributes his maturity to his father, that he raised him right. I’m sure our friend Michael is very, very proud of him! Me too!
I cringe to see that a supposedly haunted Victorian mirror is for sale on Ebay for $155. It’s reported that the owners, a guy and his roommate, have had nothing but bad luck since they found it on the curb and brought it home. They’ve had nightmares, their internet and phone shuts off from time to time for no reason, and worst of all one of them has definite signs of demon attacks, scratches on various parts of his body, when waking up. No one has bid on the mirror as of this report. I pray no one does! I wouldn’t want it if you paid me! Definitely not the good kind of haunted mirror as in The Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood where people can see Marilyn Monroe’s spirit from time to time. Sure miss that place!
