Greetings!
More or less another quick note, same as last month. What’s going on out there? I heard some Republicans in the Senate want former president Donald J Trump to take over Nancy Pelosi’s job as head of the Senate. President Trump has immediately told them he wouldn’t want that job. He hasn’t officially announced that I know of, that he wants to run in the next Presidential Election, I’m pretty sure he will. I’m not ashamed to announce right here and now that I would vote for him again.
I see Lord Peter in the Afterlife (formerly known as St. Peter) has been very busy doing his job, and taking out the trash, as they say, from the Vatican convincing them to get rid of all the priests etc.. who are known sex offenders. Way to go! I hope they get whatever punishment they deserve.
Just wanted to add so scary to hear about the dreaded Covid variant out there! Please, people get vaccinated if at all possible!
On the home front I had a quiet but great birthday! I was invited to one of my good friends apartment for supper and she made delicious pork chops, boiled potatoes and a veggie. She also had a little cake with purple frosting! Another good friend/neighbor was also there. After supper we just watched tv for a while then I thanked her for the millionth time and went home to a relaxing evening. My friend who was also there gave me a cute little kit of embroidery supplies. I also got a nice birthday card from my new care giver. Now onward to 100, I hope!
It looks like the demons were trying everything they could to zap my desktop computer and printer! The other day my ceiling sprung a leak in the hallway near the computer desk! Strange, right since I live on the second floor and there’s one more floor above me. Anyway, after a bunch of investigating by the maintenance guy from housing, and his boss, they couldn’t find where the water was coming from. Made a couple of small holes in my ceiling trying to do so. They called a plumber who came over in about an hour. Come to find out it was the hot water heater in the apartment above me leaking sending the water down through my way. They drained the water heater and the next day replaced it. Fortunately I had a bucket for the leak which went on for a couple hours, but my floor got pretty wet and is still drying even with my dehumidifier on the air conditioner. Phew! Sure glad that disaster was avoided! A little too close for comfort, I’d say!
A special announcement! I have started scanning and uploading my late husband Gerald’s books and stories, making them into PDF format books everyone can read free. I think it would be a horrible thing if no one ever read them! I have no idea what will happen to them after I’m gone. There’s boxes and boxes of them all wonderful in their own way. Here’s the link to the first one “Sarah’s Song“ one of Gerald’s favorites and one of his earlier works. Hope you enjoy it and will pass it on. Oh! Do excuse any typos in this book. It’s scanned from the original which I couldn’t edit. I will publish more as time permits. I wish so much I had a publisher for them!

I guess that’s about all the news from here. Except anxiously awaiting the final vote on the next stimulus package, which I believe is supposed to be before August and the House & Senate’s break. As usual, we’ll have to wait and see!
